February 16, 200422 yr High temp paint can be bought at auto parts stores. Barbecue or wood/coal stove paint works, too. It doesn't like to be handled after painting. I get the part good and hot with a torch, then spray on the paint.

February 16, 200422 yr I prefer the hand made stainless version All the front pipes fit all the bikes (315 that is) I got my '99 chromed, but after the bead blasting and chroming it would have been cheaper to buy new. Suggest you call the UK importer and Haven for prices - you may be pleasantly surprised

Old paint will peel and take your new paint with it. Metal won't do that. If you but a chrome pipe, paint the inside with hi-temp paint. It'll keep the chrome from discoloring. UCTT#974
