Section Markers

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can buy some section markers? I really could do with some practice....

york survey supplies, postage isn't cheap

By far the cheapest, not necessarily the easiest/quickest, way to get yourself some section markers, is to buy some big sheets of white card, and spray paint them blue and red. Then find yourself a stanley knife or guillotine and cut your markers out. This is what we do to mark out our club trials. Once you have done this, because they are spray painted, they get a semi waterproof coating, so they last for ages!

For mega cheapness why not use post-it notes either stuck to lolly sticks or stapled to trees???

If you dont mind spending a bit more money get some corrugated(??) plastic from a local DIY shop

We found flags where a pain to carry round when practising, the best solution we found was an old army type havasack filled with about 24 stones around 2-3 " in diameter fairly flat, half painted blue and half painted red. easy to carry and didnt need hammering in . just lay them out and pick them up when ur finished

Thanks for all that, I think I'll try to get some Red and Blue plastic sheeting and get cutting!
