Hello everyone, my names Pete and after a 25 year layoff, I'm taking up trials again! My last bike was a Montesa 200C Cota twinshock, and I've just bought a 315R and joined and entered for my first club trial next Sunday...! I think I better get some practice in. I've also got an '04R1 which is really a track day tool and barely road legal, though I do use it on the road. And instead of getting bored in the winter with no fun to be had doing trackdays in the UK, I've decided to get back into Trials.
I've started modding the bike already and have fitted a OKO 28mm / KEIHIN PHK rep carb. £39 and went straight on, bargain, if anyone wants to know the source drop me a line, feels much crisper and jetting was fine, other than that new tyres arriving next week and off we go..!!! I'm a bit of a tech head and tuning and modding is second nature to me, I did find the clutch was dragging on the Monty I bought (£550, is that about right?) but sorted that out with a clutch bleed and Ford ATF fluid...doesn't drag at all now..After seeing some posts this seems to be a common prob with the 315, but Ford ATF is the cheapest fix, it's designed for CVT clutches so works fine with a wet plate clutch, and is p**s thin so doesn't cause any drag...can't believe it only takes 500ml though!
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all.

Pete
