Are there any advantages/disadvantages to using a Lucas type coil ?
Any thoughts appreciated
Ross

Gday, depends if you want originality or nor I spose. They work as designed, I run one on my Ariel. If you want compact and easier to mount out of the way, go for a modern one. There are no real advantages apart from that.

Thanks Stork955, just wondered as Boyer and trials bits only seem to list this type of coil.
Don't care about appearance as wont be seen on my bike anyway.
Thanks
Ross
