Hi
I have a 09 XISPA 250,fitted with a OKI 28mm carb,it is not running well from pick up,ok when on 1/4 throttle and more,any set up hints,i have dropped the main et as advised by vince.
The bike is very poerful for my beginner status,any way of softening the power ?

you have plugged pilot jet, try using a slow throttle to start out, switch back to the standard throttle once you get comfortable.
