My Y2k 290 is looking a bit tired (a bit like the rider)

I have seen big Benny Ayres has had his 04 or 05 frame powder coated black and it looks very good.
I was think of doing this as well and then revamping the graphics to match.

Does any one know if the 06 graphics and/or plastics would fit on a Y2k?

Are the graphics on the 06 tank stickers or a paint job?

Mick

Hi there...
I believe the 06 plastics wont fit the 00 model, as they are a completly different shape.
Maybe some 05 stickers would fit?

Move your bars up to the verticle and buy some of my real carbon swingarm guards with the laser etched logo! You will be a KING! :)

The dual pot front caliper will give you better response and feel!

Cheers,

MC

Tight me! :( I'll buy anyone half a lager shandy

The frame cost £30 to powder coat black at a local place
The back mudguard was £65 but the old one was broken anyway
The front £15, the 06 stickers (decals) were about £50
The darker carcon fibre was £12 a sheet and the carbon fibre look vinyl stuff on the tank was about £10 I think
New handlebars £25 (the old ones were bent)

So yes I spent a bit but a lot less than a newer bike

OK OK I am a tight wad :)

PS I waiting to see if Heath(r2wtrials) can send me a pic of the Carbon Fibre exhaust heat shield on his website so I'll be spending a bit more soon!

Oops forgot about the Hope petrol cap £28! and Cast foot pegs £45
