  1. Nothing wrong with the case...looks just fine to me. I can't find any corrosion to speak of. I think it's just a seal issue. I thought for sure I could just pry out the seal and tap a new one in? So I need to remove the side cover to do this, eh? Thanks for the help gents!
  2. Hey...I obviously have a water leak that's causing my crankcase oil to turn milky white. I'm assuming it has to be my water pump shaft seal that's leaking. Anyone have any experience replacing the seal behind the plastic impeller? Oh yeah...it's a 2001 Beta Rev 270. Bike runs great...no other issues that I can think of...plenty of power so I know it can't be a leaky cylinder base gasket.
  3. Okay...it's been a few days since I took apart the front end to repack wheel bearings and now I'm clueless as to which wheel spacer goes where? The parts diagram doesn't really specify which side is which. I need to know which side does the longer spacer go on? The rotor/disc side? Yeah...I'll pay attention next time! haha
  4. Good stuff...can't wait to get out and practice some more! Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully I'll get my new fork seal soon so I can get busy this weekend! Cheers!
  5. Thanks for the advice. It's a 2001 Rev 3. I know the bike's been taken care of...and it runs like a top. I'm not using the clutch much at all to lift the front. It's easy enough with compressing the suspension with my body weight while using 2nd and 3rd gear mostly at crawling speeds. Should I use clutch to start? I'm using the clutch if I go too far as well as the rear brake. I'm also wondering if I need to temporarily add some air pressure to the rear to help add some stability?
  6. Greetings! I've had my 270cc Rev 3 for about a month now and wow it's got some power. I'm wondering if I need to add a flywheel weight. I'm a seasoned moto and sportbike rider (which doesn't mean squat) but I'm having a heck of a time managing the quick power of this bike. Wheelies are easy to start but difficult to manage/balance. What are my options? Add flywheel weight? Is there a slow throttle assembly available for the Rev 3 270cc? I love the bike...would just like to tone it down and keep the looping to a min. Cheers!
