  1. Thanks for the reply.
  2. Does anyone know if these can be replaced by just removing the outer casings and flywheel/stator etc. Cheers
  3. Hey many thanks for the replys, I was thinking taper roller but wondered if this was possible, so great I'll get the lathe powered up, cheers.
  4. Hello everyone, does anybody know where I can source a new headset for my James (55K7) thanks.
  5. Thanks Charlie, guess that route saves a lot of money, would just like to make it as good as poss without using say fiddle forks etc etc.
  6. Hmmn, well that's a good start, so what can be done to the engine to give it a bit more grunt? Bore out? Skimmed head? Porting and Crankcase stuffing plates? Full circle crank? Oh also, good suppliers of James parts???
  7. Hello everyone, right then, a pre65 James with a villiers 8e in, now I want to stay within the spirit of pre65 so, can anyone advise on the best engine eg stick with what I have or go for a 32a? Also what sort of mods can be done for better performance to either of these engines? Any advice greatly received just don't start on "the spirit" issue - each to his/her own,
  8. Hi there, I'm not sure if its a B40 WD, the engine is approx 1963 and has the distributor.
  9. Hello there, I have a B40 in trials trim and at the moment I am refurbishing it- hoping to do some pre 65 events next year so any info on this would be great. My main question is that I have been told by the previous owner that the gearbox is standard, but, apparently there is a mod that will make it more suitable for trials use, I was led to believe that this involved the gearbox internals and not just chain/sprockets, can anyone advise. Cheers Andy.
