ago Hello all, I’m thinking about buying a second hand trials bike. I think I’m going to go for a Beta rev 3. The rear fender looks like it could be easily damaged, especially with myself riding.New replacement rear fenders seem to be unobtainable for the earlier models. What are people doing when they break their rear fender to replace it if it can’t be repaired? Cheers

As a novice I think this is a wonderfull idea, seems to cater for everyone from raw novices to keen hoppers. Do you think any club in the UK might give it a go? The scoring seems a bit strange, perhaps that might have to be changed, Whats everyones opinion on it? I think its great and would happily enter if we had them here. Scott. I'm having some problems getting onto the WOR website, does anyone know if the site is operating at the minute? The entry list for the event (the speedtrial at least) should have been posted on their site yesterday. If anyone does have a copy of the full entry or a reliable web address could you possibly post it on here. Thanks in advance.

I want to put some new decals on my beta's tank and have read on here that doing it wet is the best way, as you can move it around before it sets. How exactly do you do this? Do you put the whole sticker in water and then put it on the bike or just wet the area on the bike you want to stick it on. If anyone can adivise on the best way will be much appreciated.

Hi guys Well finished my 4th trial this last sunday.....barely. we were told it was going to be a easy event so my pops entered with me. That was short lived as we came up to section 1. It was one of those WTF moments. A 70/80 m viscous rock climb. Anyway, long story short, 2nd gear bombing it up this mountain and the bike dies on me half way up......game over. Got the bike started and completed the lap just. Changed plug before second lap so bike ran well but by that stage it was all over. Performed a spectacular superman rock biter down a rock face on lap 2 and it went downhill from there. I was just not on form no matter how hard I tried that day. I 5ed easy sections …

Hi guys Ive found some cool spots riding distance from my house but in the 2 times ive ridden there, ive picked up a flat front tire both times......! I have slime in the rear and thats fine but I know slime hardly ever seals a tubed tire. What are my options? Ive read about Bridgestone ultra heavy duty tubes and also thought of doing a double tube. Any input appreciated. Cheers

2015 has finally arrived. Wishing everyone a happy new year! Hope you've all made your new year resolutions. Envious of those who will be going to Sheffield Indoor XTrials... last went in 2001 and loved it! Will have to wait for Trials Central to give me updates on it. Wishing all the best to all the young up and coming riders competing for their first time. Cheers, Wakka NZ

In a traditional section ridden in a traditional no stop style it is the terrain that determines how a rider loses marks, if something makes him wobble he tends to dab, if the bike is slowing to a stop its both feet down to push for a 3, stopping either due to lack of grip or striking a large object and its a 5. With the modern interpretation of no stop, encouraged by sections that often consist of obstacles and "lining up areas" it is the riders intentional behaviour in seeing what he can get away with by way of near stationary lining up moves that often determines if he gets 0 or 5. Wonder if others think of the above and what implications it has for CoCs in stting…

Nord View WTC, say 100 competitors, maybe 3000 to 5000 spectators 40 miles away a swimming event, say 8000 to 10000 competitors and the number of spectators anyone's guess. What has this to do with trials, Well there seems to be a general drift away from motorsports to sports involving cycles and or wetsuits. More than a few of the swimmers and spectators had been into mx, trials or 4 wheel motorsport, some of them very competitively. Also nearby is a cycle shop (Wheelbase), its large car park was full and probably more customers in a day that a trials dealer will see in a month. Some say Nord View was poorly advertised locally. EDIT After looking at v…

Hi ive been doing trials for 2 year now and started in beginners for first year until I consistently finished most trials in the top Half dozen then moved to clubman and again made steady progress But I've now swapped bikes from an 09 300 raga to 05 4rt and it's all gone pear shaped First ride on the 4rt I had my worst result ever And on attempting things I could do on the gas gas I found nearly impossible on the 4rt , mainly slippy rooty hill climbs I've searched most posts and asked about adapting to a 4rt but a lot of info seems conflicting Low gear wieght back no clutch to high gear slip clutch and blast it I'm finding I'm Worrying and thinking more about h…

  17. In a couple of weeks I'll hopefully start putting my TY back together (slowly); the wheels need some TLC anyway, so I'm wondering if it's worth saving up and going to alloy rims if I'm having them rebuilt anyway (?) Also, are there any particular brand ones that need to be avoided? I'd like to shave a little off it's stock 84Kg weight, and figured the unsprung stuff might be the best area to start in

I have been designing a full length bike workstand made out of wood for my garage. The hydraulic ones are to expensive and cannot be stored away when not used. when I put my bike on a normal stand I find that it is to low to work on(with a bad back),so need something higher up. The design is quite simple (has to be) and only needs the bike to be pushed (or ridden) up a ramp .Once in place the normal bike stand can then be put underneath or the bikes own stand can be used. It is also designed to be portable so it can be sored away when not needed (space very limited in my garage) What I want to know really ....what do you people think the height of it should be (I was t…
