My son has a gas gas 280 but he`s wanting to do competitions now. Just wanting to know the best bike for him (14 year old). What would be the best make of bike in the 125 range? Gas Gas, Sherco or Beta.

i did look around for a specific part of the forum to post this in, but i dont know where it should go since i dont know what it is or anything else about it i recently bought this bike for my son, however i know very little of it and was hoping some light could be shed on here. what i know is the engine is a morini franco motori s5e with a dellorto 14.12 carb the wheels are exactly the same as on my beta mini trials id like to know who made the chasis ive only found one other pic but there is no info from it below i post what i have and the pic of what it looked like new and hope somebody can tell me more so here it is stripped of the tank cover and as…

hi im after a bike for trialing. ive owned a ty250 for years but its beyond competing now. plus my cousin has now decided he wants to use his beta rather than lend it to me. i want to compete, does age determine what cc you ride like mx (im 22), im looking for 2nd hand as my budget is around 1500. which makes are the best for available parts and reliability. thanks

What bike to buy for 3k Hi all coming back to trials again after a couple of years off due to the financial crisis My last bike was a new beta evo 250 2010 model before that 07 4rt I have a budget of 3k looking for either another evo or maybe a gasser 250 or if im a bit silly maybe over bike myself and buy a 300 your thoughts please on both bikes appreciated

Gentlemen My son is 9 and is keen to try his hands on trials. He is used to MX bikes and has a KTM50SX now. Its time to go up to a 65cc soon but we just might get a trials bike instead - I think its good experience and will teach him some real bike skills. Now, the question is what bike do you recommend for my kid, what size and what brand? I really like the late model GasGas bikes but how are they holding up? We are located near Lancaster (UK) so if anyone has a little used trials bike in good condition for sale it would not hurt to send us a line. Cheers

Hi everyone so Iv been on a beta evo 125 for quite a few years now and I’m looking to move on to a 250. I was thinking a beta 250 because I have been told it has the softest power delivery? But does anyone have any other suggestions? Like what is the the new trs like? Does it trump the beta?

Hi everyone, Just after some help, i currently have a gas gas txt 250 2004 model and i am looking to upgrade to some thing a little newer. Is there much difference in weight dimensions of newer bikes, looking round 2009 year. Also are the newer bikes easier to control? Any help would be great thanks Thanks james

Hello, I’m just looking for some direction if anyone can help. I’ve had bikes all my life, I’m 53 now and looking to get into trials. I had a TY175 many moons ago but have never ridden competitively. My only recent trials riding experience was at a ‘trials experience’ day in Wales recently where was given a competition spec (apparently) Gas Gas 300 to play with and it was far too much for me! I eventually launched it through a fence after accidentally grabbing the throttle over a log……! Hi all I'm brand new to trial riding and fancy giving it a go, but i know nothing about any of it, i used to race motocross yrs ago but always fancied giving trials a go. so hopefully some good folks here can help me out. Heres what i want to do. I have always loved the twinshocks i.e early 80's, late seventies twin shocks Monty's ,Bultaco's and Fantics etc (my era lol..) ...i'm not made of money so i need something cheapish so something like that seems to be reasonably priced....so what kind of classes can i enter with such a bike and is it worth me getting one, i want to do about an event or two a month would be enough, also full weekend jobs would also be a laugh (ca…

Any recommendations for a chain lube that isn't too sticky? Currently using Rock Oil and always applying it days before a ride to give it a chance to soak in but its so sticky that the chain gets filthy in no time. I do have some Wurth dry chain lube, that worth trying?

How do you determine what class to enter? Here's my situation I am a new rider, had my trials bike about 2 months, I entered my first event as a novice, I scored 25 , 2nd place was 44 , 3rd was 52 , all the way to 67. I looked up some previous event scores and there were a few in the 20's with most seeming to be 30's and up.The Am. class seemed to score out about the same. Afterwards I rode a few of the Am. lines (being very tired)I would probably get some 2's mostly 3's. I don't want to be a sandbagger and ride below my level , nor get in a class over my head.
