What Bike?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Just after some help, i currently have a gas gas txt 250 2004 model and i am looking to upgrade to some thing a little newer. Is there much difference in weight dimensions of newer bikes, looking round 2009 year. Also are the newer bikes easier to control? Any help would be great thanks

Thanks james

just been looking at a sherco 250 2008 model and just wanting to know if this would be a better bike to have than the 2004 gas gas i currently have.

thanks

I presume the Gas Gas is an early Pro or late TXT. In that case the Sherco, if a well looked after one, will feel better anyway. Just check it's general condition and how well the engine and gearbox/clutch feel. You don't want to go from a Good 2004 bike to a Bad 2008. Other than that the 2008 Sherco's were the last of the "old" frame and compared to the Gas Gas tube frame and the Beta Evo they are a bit dated looks wise. Still a good club bike and it will feel "lighter" than the 2004 Gasser.

Yes the gasser is a early pro, really nice bike but just wanting something newer. Might just be better saving some more and going for a 2010 gas gas 250 as i like the gas gas bikes, rode a 2009 gas gas and it felt more compact than mine and alot lighter on the front end. thanks for advice

get an 09 gasser such beauty's to ride and they are great for maintainence

perfect bikes

and i find that it is compact i like this its so easy to control

There you then. Save a bit more and go for an 09 Gasser or later?
