Hi guys, having introduced myself in the introductions area I thought I'd bring my questions on down here (repeated a bit from my intro.) Just bought a fairly knackered Kids trials bike. It has a Russian 2 stroke engine in it. Does anyone know anything about them?

Santa came...Santa Came! Seems that Santa was having trouble with the Reindeer losing traction on steep roofs, and not being able to turn in tight spaces. Jumping over the chimneys was getting to be difficult for the ageing reindeer as well, so Santa figured he would modernize his rig! Given the presents under the tree this year, I guess it must have worked! Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! PS. Yes....I rode for about an hour today (Boxing Day)! Bit slippery with the front tire on the tight turns, but great fun nonetheless! PPS. Hmmmm.....not a bit of purple to be seen. Maybe I need to change my handle to Crimson Beast instead?

Hi Does anyone here know anything about the trials scene in NZ? I may be emigrating due to work to the South Island of NZ in the Dunedin area. Haven't found much via google, so wondered if anyone knows anything about clubs etc. Seems like Christchurch and the North Island have plenty, but way down south the info is limited. Any links and info will be appreciated. Cheers.

Checked the spokes on the youngsters Gasser the other day and found two adjacent spokes loose. No problem I thought, just tighten them up.... Trouble is, the thread on the spokes and/or the thread in the nipples appear to be sh***ed as any attempt to tighten just results in the nipple spinning and the spoke remaining loose. All other spokes appear fine. Any suggestions before I leap in and replace the offending spokes?

Can anyone recommend an anodiser that they've used, preferably Yorkshire area. I'll be making my own bashplate, chain adjusters etc etc, and would like them tarting up if the price isn't prohibitive. Any help appreciated Phil

Just wanted to see if any other 4RT owners have noticed what I did after I changed the stock gearing. I have heard from several sources how Montesa radically decreased the old 4-stroke braking effect by giving the engine a shot of fuel when throttle is closed. When I first rode the bike with the stock gearing that braking effect was pretty much gone. Since I felt the 41 tooth was a little tall for my riding style, I changed to a 44 tooth, which I like a lot, however, guess what is back. The old 4-stroke braking effect, when I let off the throttle in first. It really doesn't bother me that much, but, I was wondering if anyone else had made note of it.

Just bought myself a new Hebo helmet with a detachable inner lining. Just wondered if it is possible to buy a replacement inner lining? and if yes where from? any information gladly recieved.

This is Ted Clarkson with his friendly Labrador spectating at the renowned Scott Trial section 'Goats' at Holgate courtesy of farmerJacky Lynas on Sunday afternoon during the Reeth Three Day Trial.Ted is a past grass tracker and sand races on a 1000cc blown Suzuki outfit.He has ridden at Navenby, Sleaford, Pickering, Northallerton (Faceby) Lane Endand Bainbridge on grass in the early eighties plus Scarborough, Filey, Redcar, Skegness and Mablethtorpe beach races. Three weeks ago he drove 170 miles with his tractor in the three day annual Tractor Run near Richmond andthat raised £1100 for North Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Did a forum search for "SKF" and got no results. We just replaced the original seals in my son's 2003 Sherco with the new and highly recommended SKF seals. Being thrifty, in the past I've just removed the originals,cleaned, greased and reinstalled them. The new SKF seals required very little force on the seal driver to install, just a firm push. The old seals had to be driven home with a slide hammer action. Has anyone else who has installed the SKF seals found them to be this easy? Did they remain oiltight? They appear to have a lot more stretch to the sealing lip that slides, the backup coil spring couldn't hurt either. It's the outside circumference of the SKF that see…

Are the best riders left or right handed? Out of the top ten world finishers last year how many were lefties? If your an orthadox right hander does this give you a more refined throttle control or does it go against you by having a more jerky throttle action? Does a southpaw leftie suffer from cramp in the clutch fingers as much as a rightie? And while were on the subject do righties have more or less rear brake control? I'd say once you get over the initial, how to ride a bike stage your brain compensates for the reletive strengths and weaknesses of the limbs, (some brains obviously adapt a lot better than others!!)

I'll wait and see how many of you fall for it...

as the title ask, if you do or have is it worth it? is the coverage good? quality? content? in the states we only have what people post on here or youtube so i wouldn't mind being able to get a bike fix whenever i wanted. i don't have cable i don't even see mx, or moto gp. the price for a years worth of fim - live is less than a month of cable subscription. thanks rob
