What ever happened to Freddie Crosset? I remember him winning two US National Championships back to back and I haven't heard his name mentioned since. He was a great rider and I enjoyed watching him ride at the US Nationals in Sequatchie. I was looking through some older Trials Competition Magazines last night and saw him winning everywhere back in '01 and '02. Where is he now?

Does anybody know how Steve is doing these days and is he still riding mountain bikes & Running marathons?

I remember seing a post with a link to a Trials Bike video clip of some nut riding a bike over cars and such in a city setting . . I can't find it again . . anyone know the site of the clip . . the guy was riding on the face of a dam in it also . . Thanks

So all of you guys that have ridden Trials in different parts of the world, whether world class or clubman etc. Have you noticed a difference in the levels of enjoyment of the sport in different areas? Can Trials clubs be close by, as in Britian where there seem to be zillions of them, and can the riding experience be radically different from club to club? When I grew up in a different part of Canada, the local trials club was a lot of fun. Then I ended up in the big city and found that while I like the local riding area, it was not as enjoyable as it used to be. I have never been to Britian, but I suspect as a Trials rider it would be great to have lots of people to …

just wondering where is the best place online to buy clothing and boots? i already have helmet and gloves, but really could do with the rest of the kit asap would like it in blue/yellow/black or similar (to match sherco) any reccomendations? cheers

This might not be the correct forum but... When I try to look thru all the posts on here I can look at 4 or 5 pages then I am taken to the last page. That leaves 100+ pages that I am unable to see? What am I doing wrong?

Question for the Americans. I'm looking to get a few of the big wooden wire/cable spools for training. I'd like to just use the hub, cut in half as little obstacles. Hi, I want to go trials riding locally. Does anyone know where i can go? I was walking in Dovedale recently and thought that would be a fantastic place but i know there is no way i can legally ride there. 'Ello Peeps. I know its not a trials bike but hope you dont mind. My neighbour has just brought me his DT175 which had lost compression. He has been lucky really. His piston rings disintegrated but it must have happened as the piston passed down accross the exhaust port as all the bits went into his exhaust. The bore is absolutely fine. I noticed that the piston is 0.25 oversize. Is this the first oversize? It needs a top end gasket kit, Little end bearing (old one is fine but might as well) and a piston kit. He wants to go for a weiseco kit and i agree if the cost isnt that much different (I'll ring weiseco tomorow). So where is the best place to get the gasket…

Hi all- Rick from San Francisco here. Heading off to Europe on vacation soon. Unfortunately can't make it to TrialGP Andorra or Lourdes. I am dying to see some professional trials practice/ riding. I'm going to be in and around Barcelona June 30-July 7, then driving from Barcelona up through Andorra and west over the Pyrenees from July 11 to 13. Does anyone have any suggestions on places I should check out? Obviously anything specific would be great, but I will happily drive somewhere even if there is only a chance I might catch someone. Towns, parks, streets, gps coordinates- anything would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Everyone, I've been riding Trials off and on for many years, but never competed on a regular basis. I would enter a few events in various classes and do OK, but circumstances kept me from completing a full season of competition. The last time I entered a competition was 12 years ago. About about 4 months ago, I decided to get serious about riding Trials again, and have been out every weekend practicing. Since my skills are quite varied, it's hard to determine what class I should start competing in. Having looked around for some sort of trials school where the bikes are available for hire and only found one in north wales which is a bit of a trek from northumberland it looks like I might just have to sell the trail bike, by a trials bike and see what happens. So I could do with some advice about what to look for. I'm a total beginner and if it makes any difference about 5ft 11 and 16 stone (or 100kg in new money). What CC? 2 stroke or 4? How do they differ within the trials world? What sort of things should I be looking for at 2nd hand trials bikes that I might not look for in any other sort of bike? Thanks all. Kev
