I've uploaded some pics to the gallery - see hrc1 albums etc. Three Englishmen made the long trek, 600 miles across France, to this the second best French trial. The going was all rocks 95% of which had enormous grip that caused probs for those of us more used to the slippery stuff (loop city here I come!) . Each day is about 60 - 70 km with lots of off-road and 25 sections. Day 3 is the big ride out 110 km with three petrol stops. Lunchtime is a 1 hour stop with a 4 course nosh-up - which is fine until you reach the first section of the afternoons run.........All of us got caught with odd time marks, it was never tight on time, but you just had none spare. I attempted…

Okay, so I was watching the excellent video clips from the Brit WR, and it was the 3rd Colley-demo which got my attention............ 57 seconds in that bike nips up as he does a mono burnout on top of the skips!! The video stops then restarts before he drops off then bins it, but since so many of you were there, what happened in between?? Any reference to it seizing or anything?? Fairly special at the mono-wheelie stuff though!!!!

Hi, I stripped my bike down to inspect the cylinder, had planned to just do a top end rebuild but the cylinder looks quite damaged on the inlet side. Would you leave it or what are my options? Does it need replating? My nail does catch on the marks. Additionally - the crank has some minor pitting. I’ve not done this before so unsure if it’s anything to be concerned about. A more experienced set of eyes would be appreciated! Cheers!

I was discussing this topic with a friend, we agreed to disagree...... It came about whilst setting out for the M,bro trial for Sept 9th, which is a Brand New Piece of Land. (Scotland Farm, Snilsworth Moor) He feels that this should be good for ensuring us some extra entries, as Most riders jump at the chance of something new, especially with new venues hard to come by. As a result we should expect strong numbers I however feel that us lot are mainly creatures of habit & many go where they know/ feel safe, or wait until they are 'recomended' to a paticular trial, & that venues need time to take hold, this is why i am not expecting a recored turnout!! I also fe…

Hi everyone, I know this seems like a stupid question but I just bought a 2007 beta 250 4-stroke and I'm trying to find out what exact model it's is? VIN is ZD3T3020070000206 . From what i can find its a rev 4T, but then I'm seeing evo's and 4RT's and rev3 4T, etc etc it's a bit confusing 🤡🤯 thanks

Looking at giving trials a try and got loads of questions to ask so thought I would try put them all in one post if I can: ABOUT ME: I am 29 years old, am a chunky chappy at around 18 stone (I'm just too short for my weight - 5'10"), and have been riding road bikes for about 4 years, currently riding a 1995 ZXR750 and a 53 plate Honda CBR1100-XX Super Blackbird What sort of bike should I be looking for? 250cc? bigger due to my size? Should I look for a road legal bike or does it not really matter, just personal preference? Where do people recommend I could ride and practice around Wakefield / Morley in West Yorkshire? Think thats the most important questions I can th…

Bike: rev 3 270 Oil: ATF What are the symptoms indicating that a oil change is required? Sticky gears? Etc, etc? I am just curious and am keen to know what to look for. Guys have told me that your clutch feels funny but that doesn't describe much. What does a funny clutch feel like?

My bike runs fine 99.9% of the time. Last two outings for about 1-2 min the bike was knocking and sort of sounded like it wasn't getting enough fuel. During this I put the choke on and it sounded better (didn't ride with choke on just wanted to see what it would do). Turned choke off and it still ran but knocking and pinging a bit. Then after a minute or two it's just fine and rides normally. Totally went away both times and rode the rest of the day no problem-just wondering if anybody else has had this happen and what it was?

Unfortunatly there seem to have been a fire at the s3 workplace. Hope no one got hurt and not to much damage is done but it seems pretty destructive. http://www.planetetrial.com/CATASTROPHE-chez-S3.html

Ok so I am in the lucky position that i have a fair bit of ground and my own excavator so I fancy making my own section to practice on. Anyone got any tips? What should I build first, currently my skill level is limited to full lock turns and hopping the front so nothing too technical. Would also love to see what you guys have built for home practice. I also have a large amount of pallets so getting height shouldn't be too difficult either. Thanks in advance!

I've been racking my brains all morning on this one. On a Gas Gas 280 pro raga replica, there is just too much top end power, what i mean is from nothing to 2/3 throttle the power is fine, nice and linear, offering plenty of manageable grip, the problem starts when using the top end, last 3rd of the throttle, the power seems very lumpy, it tends to come in all of a sudden, very good for dry conditions but not good for slippery english sections. I am running out of ideas, we dont want to alter the bottom end at all, but there seems to be no way of softening the top end without the bottom. ANY IDEAS? lowering compression, reed valve, carburation is good, base gasket/head…
