Hello guys, for some reason I have an itch to give trial another chance... owned a Beta Rev 270 and a Gasgas TXT280... the GG wasn't street legal so I had to carry it on my SUV, very annoying. It looks like prices are all over the place at the moment... I wanted to get a cheap but decent bike to see if I can get better, but I want it street legal to not be forced to carry it on my car. It looks like I'd have to spend at least €2000 for a relatively recent Gasgas (2008 to 2012), while early 2000s models are only slightly cheaper at €1600. Makes no sense. Anyway I've also found a pretty cheap 2004 TXT 125cc. that's also road legal... but I'm almost 6' (180cm)…

Looking for any advice with fitting a homemade seat to a trials bike. As a test I strapped a seat of a KTM SX with a bit of foam onto my Beta Evo 300 and liked the results - I can still stand up but I can also ride the bike a bit like a crosser/enduro bike and get my foot out and corner the bike (old habits die hard). Has anyone else tried this and what seat did you use. I was thinking about buying a Stomp pit bike seat and see how that fits as the KTM seat is a bit too wide. I am using the bike whilst I recover from a bad injury (MX) and really liking the trials bike but sometimes would like to add a seat so I can corner the bike. I know beta do a seat/tank aftermarket…

Probably a very dumb question, but I really have nothing to compare it to since I am new to this. But noticed when I go for a trail ride (to get to my destination) its very uncomfortable and very hunched forward; it is an older trials but perhaps something I need to get used to? or are there trials with a more "enduro" erogonmic type of stance, if that makes sense? Yesterday when I went out to practice on very rocky terrain, i had a lot of pressure on my arms and wrist and lower back due to being hunched forward; again I am new to trials so just trying to fi gure it all out. Top it all off, I have "entered" my first trials event, so im sure I will get to experience a l…

I broke the lever lug off my front brake master cylinder at the weekend so I need a new master cylinder. Are AJP and Braktec the same thing? I thought they were different but I've seen them advertised as the same.

Hi folks, Iv'e seen Montesa/Honda stats saying their 2022 260 weighs 73 kg, is that a real number? For comparison what is the real weight of say a Beta 2022 250? Just trying to work out exactly how much weight difference there really is between the Montesa and the 2 stroke equivalents

Condition and price being pretty much the same, which is the better choice, a TY250 or a TL250? I guess the choice of two cycle or four cycle is the main thing? I lean a little towards four strokes.

This might not be the correct forum but... When I try to look thru all the posts on here I can look at 4 or 5 pages then I am taken to the last page. That leaves 100+ pages that I am unable to see? What am I doing wrong?

Hi all you lovely people I hope one of you can help or at least point me in the right direction. I have been given a Beta Zero trails bike that has a few wiring problems. I'm looking to get hold of a wiring diagram as I'm not sure if there are a few bits missing. I think the year of the bike is around 1989 1990 from what bit of research i have done. So I'm hoping someone out there has a diagram tucked in the back of there shed. Kind regards AR

Since my new bought preowned Montesa came with bad tyres, I'm wondering about some soft enduro tyres. Has anybody tried this, especially rear (tubeless)?
