hi i'm new to trials central i've just bought myself a 2011 beta evo 250 and was wondering is the fan meant to run nearly all the time? after 2 long runs out the plug seems very black and oily any advice on this would be great thanks?? whilst i'm on how much gear oil do i use?? many thanks

I'm new to trials and am looking at two used bikes: 2005 Montesa Corta 4RT and a 2011 GasGas 250TXT. Asking price for both is the same - the Montesa appears to be almost mint (orig owner), while the GasGas is scratched up but in excellent shape. I don't care about aesthetics that much, except for the resale value and, yeh, it's kind of nice to put my own dents in a bike. Also, I'm not sure if parts availability will be significantly different between the two. Thank you!! in advance for any ideas and suggestions. I've done some research on-line but haven't found anything that deals with my specific options.

As title I'm torn between both have read plenty of reviews but does anyone have experience of both I have toe option of either and there is a slight price difference but is the jotagas worth the extra. I'm a new to trials rider at clubman level I have been riding my son's 2009 beta evo 125 and being 90kg feel like I could use a little more tourqe. Couldn't find alot about either online and probably wouldn't get a chance to ride them back to back Thanks

Hello All, Has anyone had to fit a new manifold gasket (spirometal O ring) to a 2012 JGAS 300. I received a new one from the Saunders Trials place today. It fits into the head ok BUT won't fit onto the exhaust pipe. According to info on the web AND going by the part number description, the dimensions of the new one I've got are correct BUT the outer diameter of the pipe is 40mm and the new gasket internal diameter is 39 mm. Is it a case of heating the Gasket up to get it onto the pipe ??? Appreciate your comments / advice, cheers

Must be near merry go round time for top riders. Any news / feelings / rumours on who's going where?? For my money I don't see any major changes except Fajardo back to Beta. Dabill to move on, maybe to Ossa (would give a top UK rider presence in BTC) possibly Gubian to move to another bike, maybe Sherco And the most obvious Wiggy to Gas Gas

Hi all, I am thinking of getting a new trials bike, but really not sure on which one i should get! I currently ride a 2012 Beta 250 in B/A grade here in WA and although all the models can do the job, including my current bike, Ive had a few problems with it so thinking of getting a new one. If people could possibly give their feedback on the new models it would be much appreciated! Cheers

Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows why the left hand fork appears to come higher out of the top of the yokes than the right? And if not, should they be level?

Wanting to upgrade my current machine and two options have come up, 2015 Beta 300 and a 2015 Sherco 300. Both are the same money, age and condition give or take. Which would you choose? I'm leaning towards the Beta as I've read they are a bit better made and I will get longer out of it but can't decide. Any other thoughts either way?

I have always owned GasGas 2 stoke trials bikes and am now considering a Beta Evo 4 stroke. Are the 4 strokes a pain in the rear for maintaince? The gasser 2 strokes rarely gave me trouble. Does anyone know if the betas valves or timing need a lot of maintaince or are they usually reliable without a lot of fuss. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Sadly Richmond Motor Club haven't repeated their 2014 Scott Trial Calendar for 2015. So does anyone know of a decent trials related calendar for the new year?

I'm looking at getting a new bike next year. I'm currently riding a 2007 Sherco 290 which has served me pretty well so far. I've got a taste for the 2015 montesa factory rep but I've never ridden one so I'm not sure if moving from 2t to 4t is a good idea as I know the characteristics will be completely different. I keep hearing mixed things about the 4 stroke montesa, one being they're only any good for expert riders and it's pretty hard to progress your skills on one. I'd like to hear some of your opinions (serious please, no p*** takers) Cheers, Gaz

Hi just got a 2016 beta evo 250 to start on looking for workshop manual. There’s no problem finding an engine manual but not one for the maintenance as I am looking for fork oil levels and what 5w oil ie castrol oil or rock oil or something else cheers

whats happening with the new 2016 models ? The Spanish factory's usually release details of the new models before the factory shut down, I can remember when gas gas used to have the new models here for the end of July, Beta was always later than the rest but it all seems quiet at the minute
