Any recommended carberation changes when running the arrow exhaust with a 2017 4T. Bike has been running great but have notice on a couple of occasions that the bike seems a little choked at full revs...cheers!

Looking forward to taking my wife and daughter on a trip to France in July of 2018 and hoping to catch the Belgium World Round but seeing conflicting dates. The provisional calendar shows July 28/29 but the current calendar on the FIM website shows July 21/22. Now, a normal man might just say that the current FIM Website is correct and go with that, but this man is spending $5,000 just on plane fares and I don't want to make a mistake. Can anybody confirm the correct date of the 2018 Belgium World Trials Round in Comblain au Pont? Appreciate anyone's help!

  4. Hi, me again. So after lots of research and being lucky enough to ride a Montesa 4rt in the wet and and dry I have now narrowed myself down to 2 bikes that I am looking to purchase.I am look at either a 2018 Factory 250 Sherco or a 2018 TRS RR 250. I would really like to hear you thoughts and opinions on both as after reading loads of threads on this forum they both seem to get good reviews.

  5. Looking at buying a new or slightly used bike, sounds like Sherco made some major changes in the last 2 years. Is this bike a good pick for a club rider? How does it compare with a 2019 gas gas txt 250 pro? Pricing is within 300$. Thanks

Analysis paralysis.. I've read so much the past few weeks, my mind is numb. Does anyone have real world experience with gasgas trials bikes, as in owning multiple model years and especially the current generation bike? I've read they are the most reliable tank of a bike, I've read they're build quality is garbage, and everything in between.. I am brand new to the community. I am currently making the switch from 450/350 4s and 300 2s mx/enduro bikes. I see a handful of 2020+ txt 300s (super low hours, all under 15) for sale somewhat locally and I am really considering one of them. I like their look and the fact they are supported by ktm nowadays. However, some th…

The front caliper on my '21 TRS has an annoying tendency to drag constantly and I can't seem to fix it. Couple of days ago on a long steep descent it overheated so badly I completely lost front brake. It wasn't from over use of the brake, it's a hill I've been riding a couple of times a week for quite a few years on a variety of bikes. I am very careful how I use the brakes and it's not a problem. But this time the brake was dragging really quite hard - it would start to skid a little on flat, loose dirt with no brake applied. I took it very carefully down trying not to use front brake at all, but it still completely overheated to the point of the disc just beginning to…

Hi, Can anyone give me some carb advice? My bike hunts slightly at tickover, and I can't get the tickover to run smoothly. I've tried adjusting the pilot air screw without much success, so have now stripped the carb to give it a good clean. I have discovered that the needle clip is in the bottom Grove, No.5, the richest setting. The manual says position 4. Could this be the reason for the rough tickover? I was always under the impression that the needle didn't influence the running until after a quarter throttle position or thereabouts, so the needle position might have nothing to do with it? I have also noticed that the fan rarely comes on, indicating…

Finally picked up my Dragonfly. At 71 I'm having trouble with the kickstart, so electric is the way to go. I think this bike is going to be a game changer. This site should make a subforum. I'm sure there are others.

No new petrol or diesel cars in Old Blighty from 2035. Assume this will apply to bikes too? And then this TY pic pops up on my Instagram feed...nice!

  12. Got out for my second Trials ride ever on my 2004 GG300 Pro today. Even after fitting a "Slow" throttle I wasn't able to relax. I tried a 2006 GG200 in the parking lot, and imediately felt comfortable. Considering how much better I felt I'm thinking of getting it, but I don't know if it'll haul my fat A**. Thoughts?

Recently had some thoughts along the lines of dragging trials marking into the 21st Centuary. Imagine the scenario... Riders have a profile/username/password (Trials Central logon?). Arrive at a trial and the entries system is all on a waterproof laptop/tablet where it is just a case of adding the rider to the event and ticking a box to specify the route they wish to ride and assigning a riding number. They could even have entered themselves the evening before and paid the entry fee via Paypal. Removes the need for dealing with paperwork/cash in a wet windy field... All observers have a waterproof tablet. Rider rides the section and all they have to do is tap his/…

Hi I’ve got hold of a virtually unused Tx125 (2008) that’s been in storage. I want to convert it to a 225 either using a kit (S3?) or parts. Can anyone advise where I might get hold of the necessary bits? Many Thanks Andy

I am new to trials and am currently having problems bleeding my clutch. This was after I managed to crack the original silver magnesium clutch case. I bought a new black one from gasgas uk. The new one will only take the smaller narrow spring that sits in the clutch basket and not the larger one that was in the original clutch case, is this causing me any problems when trying to back bleed the clutch as I am having no success back bleeding it. I can get fluid all the way up the pipe until it spurts out the end, however, when I connect the pipe up to master cylinder nothing happens no fluid seems to flow into it. Please help. I have also contaminated the clutch plate…

Im returning to trials after a long lay off of around 6 years. I used ot ride a 250cc Beta rev3 in local comps at clubman level, looking at the majority of riders local to me now the trend, especially those competing in run around events seems to be to go for 300 variants. What would the genrela consensous be? the larger engine makes sense when covereing ground but wpould it be too much of a handfull in sections for a returning rider ? Cheers, Murph

hey guys. I'm looking to start toying with a trials bike for some free ride type stuff. I'm a big guy so nearly anything underneath me is tiny. I was advised to look at a smaller 250 and have found a good deal on a 2010 txt pro. About two years ago I had a 2012 raga 300 for a week and enjoyed it a lot. Coming from an Enduro background it was so much fun riding it over everything. I'm about to pull the trigger on this 250 when I had a call from a guy offering me his 2009 300 txt for basically the same sort of money. Is there a reason why I should not look at the 300? I'm 1,95 and roughly 115kg. The bike will be used for mountain type trail riding in the beginning an…

I've always racing motocross but with injuries and lack of tracks I'm going to get a trial bike and try and compete. I've obviously got a bit of experience on bikes but was wondering the million dollar question without riding the said bikes. Is there a difference when riding the 2, is one easier to get along with, more fun to ride? Anyones advice with any knowledge of the 2 comparisons would be massively appreciated. I'm thinking 2014/15 models. ( must admit I do like the look of the shercos but looks are nothing) Thanks in advance.

Hello all. looking for and input from someone familiar with the differences. Here is my dilemma : I currently own a 2017 Gas gas contact 250 that I bought brand new and am looking to upgrade to a (undisclosed manufacture) factory 300. lets not get into the brand argument or personal preferences and just assume all brands are suitable for my riding style. I was told by one specific dealer that I should not by a 300cc. that it would be too much power for me , let alone a factory edition. here is where I stand: I m a 38 y.o. guy in very good athletic shape 6'2" 235lbs (115Kg) . I have been riding trials for 4 months only but there is a catch. I use …
