Hi, I'm on the Isle of Thanet (as far East as you can get). Got a Gasgas EC300 that I used once for an Enduro (and lived to tell the tale). Now only green laning and slow club events as I broke my wrist and can't put up with doing it again. Also a box of bits that will make up a V5'd BSA B40WD (Green army machine). Engine is on its way to being a runner. The frame and ancilliaries I want to lighten for green lane use and club events. Can anyone who has 'Trailified' a B40 please get in touch and advise about the use of original rear wheel V Tiger cub rear (I want to fit 18" trials tyres front and back. Also other mods considering I want to retain frame as best as possible …

Hello everyone! I come from street riding/stunting on sport bikes. Love watching trials, figured i would give it a shot. Seems to be a decent scene just north/east of toronto, luckily i have a cottage out that way. I hear some indoor evens go on in Lindsay ontario over the winter, very cool. Where do i start? Im looking at a few bikes (very hard to find trials bikes in Canada im guessing...) Aprilia Climber 280 1993 and Yamaha TYZ 250 1996 I hear the aprilia is very heavy, may be discouraging for a newb? or are all bikes from this era heavier than normal... if the TYZ is noticeably lighter, id go with that, im used to lightweight flickable bikes...but then again…

Hello every one ,shyted here.Just moved back to the U.k so not set up propper yet but... Yesterday (2/5/12) bought a Fantic 245 mono in excellent condition from a guy in Northhants. Two rare finds ,a streight bike and an honest seller . Coming back to trials after a long break filled with fast bikes . Pretty crap at feet up riding but love the challenge and having a laugh at my self . Quite excited actually at seeing people and the bikes they've got .Think new bike's are brill but air cooled and early watercooled two strokes sum it up for me ,but i also love technology . Appart from that ,i work on a rig as a rig mechanic and im old enough to remember the sex pisto…

Hi all, I just joined the site for the wealth of information and just the general fun of reading about all the happenings in the trials world. My main interest are in the vintage end of trials mx and enduro. I have a TY250,1970 Ossa trials,1974 pursang and a newly aquired 199a Sherpa t. I had a model 92 sherpa t that I should,ve kept, but I have wanted a late model sherpa ever since my friend bought a new 198b back in the day. Cheers, Scott

G'day all, Firstly, a thank you to all that contribute! Been reading, reading, reading and it has helped enormously to my (our) intro to trials. I have gained quite a few tips! Secondly, a bit about ourselves… (and I say ourselves as I have just addicted my wife, of 32 yrs together on motorcycles, to riding one verses being a passenger! I started riding a converted trail bike as a trials bike around 1973. I even had the Mick Andrews long sleeve top, at 14!… hehehehehehe! I soon went to motocross (Honda CR 125 Elsinore, Green tank) and then road bikes around 1976 and been on motorcycles since the mate up the road gave me a go on his mini bike around 1971. I have scra…

Hi I'm totally new to this site and trials riding. I live in Durham City and I recently bought a project bike. I am in the middle of doing it up with my son (he wants to be an engineer so I thought it was a good intro plus I've always hankered after a trials bike). It's a Sherco (Bultaco?) 290 Graham Jarvis replica from c2000. So far I've had the engine rebuilt by Alan Bird, Feet Up Trialsport (who seems a really nice bloke and full of knowledge). Everything else we've stripped down ourselves, cleaned up and replaced worn items (getting swinging arm bearings out was fun!). Hoping to put it all back together this weekend. Not ridden a bike off road since I was…

Hi My 14 year old daughter has taken up trials, just bought her a 2008 Beta 125 to learn on, being picked up this week. I think it is fairly tired but the price is right and I don't mind getting the spanners out. If she takes to it then I don't mind getting a better one but if she does not take to it then at least I have not dropped a packet. I might have a go on it as well :-) Any tips for giving an older Beta a once over? Oils to use bearings to change etc.? Club wise based in NI and the local scene seems pretty good. I will get her along to the youth events as soon as she can handle the basics on the bike. Looking forward to many new experiences. Th…

Hi All, Complete novice just purchased 1979 UK supplied Cota 348.. engine runs but will only go in first gear. I knew when i purchased it that it wasn't as stated by owner, needs lots of work to bring back to something like it was in 79. So can anyone tell me the right place to get parts from in UK. Thanks

Gidday, as you can probably tell I`m from sunny Australia, Ipswich in south east Queensland. I own and ride a strange Bultaco 199b. It has a 151 motor in it with a M92 barrel on it,moved forward shocks,an aluminium airbox and silencer and an aluminium head stay and it had disc brakes on it but I changed them to ride twinshock on it. The original engine is in a monoshock frame that the bloke who used to own it in the 1980`s made. I started riding trials again in late 2007 after not riding anything for 20 odd years. I have been really enjoying myself riding again and am currently leading twinshock in the QLD Moto Trials Series by a far margin and got second in the QLD Champ…
