Hello everybody, new member here. Located North Derbyshire, England. Not far from Hawks Nest. Am busy restoring the 325 Sherpa I could not afford when I was young(er). I got one about 3 years ago in several boxes and 1 bucket which contained the crank, and a gallon of ...........water. But hey, the barrel was rebored and was complete with new piston and rings. This is going to be easy, isn't it?? Anyway, usual story, work and sleep get in the way and it's taken til now to get on with it. Got the engine together with all new bearings, seals and said rebore. A bit of a job as I'm more used to Jap bikes with circlips and the like to locate bearings not a blowlamp and …

Hi all: Back in the 80's, when I was a "real" trials rider (not the imaginary rider I have de-volved into in recent years.....), I used to get these great European and Japanese trials videos from Cosmopolitan Motors (the old US Beta importer). There were compilations of World Rounds, Beta factory stuff and Japanese instruction tapes. When I joined Trials Central, I eagerly went through all of the great videos posted (thank you, Andy!) and have found that I need more. I would like to find outdoor world champ DVD's, top rider practice sessions, UK or Euro training instruction. I am a bit isolated now that my favorite nearby riding areas have gone under state control and we…

Had a nasty fall from my Ducati last week, so have decided to leave the road and go back to clubman trials and track days. Just ordered a new Repsol 4rt ready for when my bones are mended, and I expect to sell the Ducati when she's back from the menders and get either an 1198 or Blade for next years track days. Not been on the site for probably 3 years and had a trials bike for a couple of years - since 09 Raga 300, but already looking forward to wobbling about in the woods again.

Well, hello from a new owner of an old Bultaco! I just picked up a 1971 Bultaco Sherpa T 250 model 80, and will be restoring it back to former glory. I've dabbled in trials before, had a Yamaha DT125 then a TY175 trials, my dad had a Sherpa T back in the 1980's and I wish I had got it from him before it was gone and I realized what it was. No matter, now I have one and looking forward to rebuilding it over the next while. I'm sure I'll have some questions, hope to bother you all over the next few months to years! Vincent

Hi I used to ride/race MX a few years back but haven't been off road for about 3 years. Still been on two wheels, just stuck to the roads. Just bought myself a 2001 TXT 280, never rode a trials bike before but hopefully I will take to it. Based in Chorley, Lancashire, and looking for places to ride if anyone can advise? Cheers Davro337

Hi - just picked up a 'barn find' TY175 with intent to have some fun tinkering and with a vague idea of refurbing and having a go at twinshock trials. I got given it by a work colleague and have been told its never been road registered. The engine and frame numbers match, frame and tank are badly corroded, engine has compression but I've not tried starting it as I want to strip it down and clean it / check it over first. I'll post up some before pics as well as any progress updates. I'll also be posting up queries so any advice gratefully received. Thanks, Mark

Hi all I'm Ted, and yesterday my son and me bought this beautiful 1977 Montesa Cota 348. Hope to have a lot of fun with that. Some time ago we bought a 2002 GasGas TXT 280 which has given us a lot of pleasure already. Now we have to divide our attention to two bikes. We also have a restauration project: Bultaco 350 T. The one thing missing is enough free time to work on that... Cheers, Ted

Hi all and greetings from Guernsey (British Channel Islands). New to the forum and a very new owner of my first classic twin shock - a Bultaco Sherpa Type 92 framed Type 49 motor - which I know is going to need a lot of work (that’s why I bought it). I’ve spent some time researching and always seem to end up back here so just wanted to say hi. I might be here a while ? very best regards Tim

Hello everyone, my 8 yr old son b-day is coming up and I'm having a hell of a time finding an electric Oset/Beta 20. I'd starting looking at KTM's SXE5 but they are 8k with taxes and freight. Cascade in Mission use to have stock, even used one's but they are under ownership change. I've been watching Craigs and Marketplace but nada. Can anyone please recommend where I might look or share a contact if you know anyone that has a Oset, Beta or even a KTM SX E5. Interested in an electric bike so he can get more seat time. Thank you

Hi! I'm a newbie with a brand new M2R.. Looking for help with how to register it on the road. I've read a helpful thread on here from a few years a go but stuck with what to actually register it as, due to seat height being under 900mm 🤔
