Hi I am new to this forum and sport, I have been drooling over trials bikes for many years and after 10+ years on an enduro bike i am about to embark into the skilled world of trials. got the green light today from my wife and i have my eye on a nice 2004 montesa 315. Hope this move turns out to be all i expect, having never even ridden a trials bike. I live in Swaziland and have all the right terrain on my doorstep to take advantage of, not to mention i have two small boys who i would rather see started on an Oset than a peewee! ... need to get a head start since the older one is 3 and i will need the skill to match his energy

Hi, Bought a Gas Gas 93/94/95 model cheap as it was in bits. Started doing her up, everything, sweet then came across some stripped threads in left crankcase. Thread is too close to a bearing to be helicoiled. I feel I have been ripped off, since the guy who sold it to me never mentioned it, I thought I would overlook it and have been trying to find a way to repair it. However it seems it is not possible to repair. I found what I thought was the right crankcase half on fleabay but on comparing it is obviously not the right one. The one for sale has the carb port on the crankcase yet mine is on the barrel. According to the frame number mine is a 94 model. Can anyone cof…

Good morning everyone from Rossendale Lancashire. Decided to sign up to the site rather than just a guest browser, well I will get straight to the point. I would like to have my 1983 coat 349 (y reg) be treated to a full engine overhaul, no major dramas at the moment but I think the mains are just starting to become a touch noisy. Where can I purchase these along with the related seals, gaskets and other bearings etc preferably all from one supplier. Part two now! I would like to invest in a RTL 250 twin disc model, but don't have a great deal of knowledge of them .There's a couple on that other site for £5500 ish ,is that a fair reflection? Any replies much appreciated …

  7. I got going on a trials bike at the end of last year, and having realised that riding an old Fantic 200 was fun but heavy going for a 46 yr old I now have and enjoy a Scorpa 250. I have a fully equiped workshop and bike transport, and a practice ground. I am looking for a practice pal who would like to share the falling off and looking daft bit, and perhaps would like to join me in the comps I go to and visa versa etc.. I am a membr of the Stratford on Avon Club and have my evenings and weekends to practice and can easily arange weekdays now and then as I run my own business. If your intersted give me a call. 07501474974 I look forward to hearingfrom you. regards Joh…

Hi all, Just a heads up that my dad and I have just got into trials again (we had a Gas Gas a fair few years ago that we used to ride over Poles Woods). I've now got myself a nice 2004 Beta Rev 3 270 and my dad is picking up a tidy 07/08 Gas Gas 250 tonight. Expect to see both of us over Poles Woods pretty often as well as some of the Southend/Eastern trials events (after we've both got good enough to not embarrass ourselves). I'll be the young one on the Beta and my dad will be the old bugger on his Gas Gas (sorry dad aha) - if you see us about - come over and say hi My bike:

Greetings from the foothills of California. New to trials (been riding dirt/street 40 yrs) and after riding a friends trial bike, I've been bitten. Been watching Toni Bou videos and figure I can at least start my bike as well as him, but that is where it would end. Have rocks on my place that beg to be ridden on so figured I'd have built in practice area. Might get a friend's backhoe over to roll some rocks and obstacles together to built up more challenges at I improve. Looking to get a good starter bike, might trade a DRZ400S for one if the deal works. Suggestions welcome on what to get. Thanks for this forum which has a wealth of knowledge, now to just get throu…

Hi all, Jeff here from Randle (Gifford Pinchott). I just bought an used 2019 Bete Evo 300. It had leaky rt fork and I'm trying to put in new seals in it. I'm trying to remove the bolt on the bottom of the fork. With the forks off I used an air impact gun and it loosened it enough for the oil to leak out. Now it just spins and I've researched the internet and cant find what I can do. Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Jeff

Good Afternoon All, Just a little introduction from myself (Jamie), Recently bought a trials bike and I've joined the forum to hopefully tap into the knowledge on here and so use can all help an absolute novice like myself make the most of the new bike I have just bought, Done several years greenlining and enduro riding but never ventured into trials until now After getting various opinions on which bike to start with I settled on a Beta Evo 200 (pics attached) Look forward to getting out riding and posting my hopeful progress on here

Hello from Boonville Indiana. A buddy and I went to trials school in TN 15 years ago and when we came back I bought a used Montesa Cota315r and he moved to Idaho. The Cota set until now as no one to ride with. Finally decided to get it out to play a little a have run into a problem. The right lower fork was cracked on the clamp. This seems to be a common problem but I have also discovered a hairline crack allowing oil to leak out thru axle clamp area. I have found a welder willing to take this on but he has asked if I can find out the metal composition of the piece. As it’s seems the Paoila 38mm lower is now an unobtainable part help any info is appreciated. If welding…
