Howdy, Thought I pop a quick post up here in the meet and greet area !!! My name is Mike, a long time rider... born and raised here in Colorado. I have some very limited trials experience with a couple prior bikes (Bultaco Alpina, Yamaha TY-250). I just picked up a new to me 1980 Bultaco Sherpa 350 199a. Not going to jump on any competitions out of the gate, just go bumping around in the mountains with my buddy on his Yamaha TY350 !!! Here's a link to my restore on my Sherpa... enjoy !!! 1980 Bultaco Sherpa 350 199a

Hi To All, Bought myself a Beta Rev3, a while back and have been slowly rebuilding back to a decent standard, got a problem though, sent the Barrel and Piston off to JETBORE in April, not received it back, just a whole load of excuses, Lost in Post, i have been off with a bad back, try phoning them and e-mailing them, no answer, suprise suprise.....Now bought a full top end off this great website, from a top bloke, George in Ayshire... So hopefully will be out on it next week, Can't wait, was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with JETBORE... If you have'nt beware, don't send them your hard earned cash, you may be let down badly. On a brighter note, the Beta is…

Hi guys. Been riding offroad bikes here in South Africa for a while, started getting into enduros very recently. I always wanted a Trials bike and decided to get one to hone my skills for my enduro riding. Bought myself a 2003 Beta Rev3. What a great machine. I might actually drop the enduro and compete in Trials one day. When I got the Beta, I did what i always did when i buy a secondhand bike and stripped it, checked everything out and re-assembled it. Nothing really to fix. Guess it's true that these bikes last very long. Took it for my first ride quickly (Did not kit up so i took it easy) at a small rocky hill behind where i stay just to get a feel for the bi…

I broke the bottom of the lower fork on my Montesa rebuild. ChatGPT told me to hammer down....the forks come up.... I should have realized but didn't. I heard about welding but I think here in Alberta, CA it would be very expensive and no warranty or guarantee. I see exact parts on ebay in the US that look almost new. They look too good to be true but I assume I could rebuild the forks with new seals... Or is it best to try to get an entire fork - upper and lower? The old shocks seemed to be functional 25 years later. Any recommendations would be great.

Hi all. I really want to get involved in trials. I come from several years of racing cross country ATV's and arenacross. Got burned out, Switched to woods riding a KTM 300exc, and loved that, but got out due to the purchase of a new home. Recently got into dual sport riding on my Honda XR650l. I recently shed some weight that needed gone, and am trying to get back into shape. Technical riding always kept weight off before, and I think trials is my answer. My questions begin with I am 6'2" and dropped from 292lb to 250lb, and plan to lose more. Will my current size/ weight cause me any issues with a trials bike? Is there certain ones that are better for bigger guys like m…

Hello, I enjoy anything motorcycle related but trials is my passion. Twin shock and Pre 65 trials machines are what I would like to concentrate on most. I have ridden in club events at clubman level (on my trusty old TY250) but that was good few years ago, so I'm not currently in any clubs and would like to get a couple of well fettled bikes up and ready before joining. I really enjoy making/fabricating as much of a bike as I can, so do a lot of the people on this forum from what I have been reading, so I'm hoping to get/exchange some good information on here. Regards No balance.

Hello, Just got Bultaco M27 I've known for 37 years. Frame No. B 4901437 - can't find engine No. It was put in an open front shed in 1980 after bad starting from hot discouraged the owner. Taken me since then to persuade him to part with it! Its all there except the front exhaust and clamp. The aim is to restore to "oily rag plus" as it only did 117 miles since previous rebuild to road use. One question: do I need to approach a club to help with retreiving original plate WPC 991F and if so who? Best regards to all Uberskunk

Hi all. Just stumbled across this site while looking for some info on my new (to me at least) Beta Techno 250. Thought i'd sign up and see what its all about I'm a total novice to the world of trials riding - got my first trials bike just last week! I got too envious of my 2 neighbors and their gas gas bikes, and seeing and hearing about the stuff they get up to and the apparent enjoyment they have on them was too much to ignore so i set about finding a cheapish starter bike to see what its like. I eventually picked up my '97 techno for the princely sum of 480 quid. She's been in the wars and has the scars to prove it but with a little tidying and setting up i think it'…
