hi i treated myself to (in fact got my wife to buy me ) a new ossa explorer for my 50th - overall i think it is a great concept but i have had various niggles - more importantly the gearbox has just packed up - it would seem this is not an unknown issue but understandably one that is not publicized by ossa , national importers or local dealers?! where should i go in the forums to join a discussion of this or to start a new discussion? for those that are interested i am a crap rider (hence the topic title) with 1 years experience of trials and 2 years off road experience who is mechanically quite capable

Thought it was time to say hello, been riding bike for longer than I care to remember currently riding a ZX12R but never ridden a trials bike so decided it was time to take the plunge. First of all need to find a way to transport it, will it fit in the back of my l200 this was ruled out pretty quick even if it did fit its a long way up so a quick search of evil bay sees me buying a dave cooper rack for £24, next problem is if I do buy one where can I practise another net search comes up with earl shilton trials club so joined with practise membership. Right need to find a bike a bit of searching around and I've done a deal on an 02 edition 280 txt gas gas. First time out …

Hello all, Im new to the world of Trial bikes and just picked up a seized and abused TY250A last week as a project and finally got the cylinder off the engine last night. So much for a quick lick o’ paint and a carb clean, this thing is going to need a lot of parts and labor. Anyway I’m sure I’ll be asking questions and needing help along the way so thanks in advance and talk soon aidan

Hello world ! As I'm registering on this web, I see there is a "introduce yourself", so here we go. I'm 34 years old male living in Iceland. Some of my friends have started riding Trial bikes, most of them riding Gas Gas Txt 250-300 bikes, and now I have bought myself a new Gas Gas Txt 300 bike. I have only ridden it for about 50 meters so far, so everything about trial bikes is really new to me. I look forward to start riding, and will probably post some pictures on this web etc. as time goes by. Chao //Hannes

Hello all, we are a family with three kids living in the UAE. The kids share a Beta Rev 3 and I ride a GasGas TXT Pro 300, Model 2009. The GasGas is currently in bits and pieces since its engine was completely littered with mud and many other parts needed maintenance and a visual upgrade. Even though I am not an expert I work my way through the tutorials and videos I find online trying to rebuild the entire bike. The UAE is a perfect spot for trial riding. The mountains are up to 1800m high and as long as you are not on private property, you can ride wherever you want, camp overnight, and continue the other day. During 6 months of the year, we have moderate weather cond…

Well I am 27 years young from Ayrshire in Scotland. I currntly race mx and have done for oh 19 years now so bike experience that way is not a problem. I have also practiced pedal trials for around 7 years. I have good natural balance and decent bike skills both pedal and the engine powered kind. Anyway to cut a long story short I was practicing the other day getting ready for racing this weekend at Drumclog then due to lack of entries the race was cancelled. As motocross is such an exspensive sport and the fact that this year I have not gained any speed tells me that maybe I am ready to take a back seat on the mx thing. Thinking of trading in for a new 08 125 to keep for…

Hi. It’s been 35 years since I’ve been on a trials bike, but a friend and I recently went to Inch Perfect. That, combined with Ross Nobles SSDT, the interest is back. My buddy has given me a budget of £2k to get him a bike (his pockets are deeper than mine). He wants a 2stroke, as new as possible and preferably road legal. What should I be looking for? lm leaning towards a Beta. But my knowledge is limited as the that bike I had was a Ty250 thanks Glyn

Greetings All, Trials bikes are unbelievably rare where I live on the East Coast of Canada. I have had over 30 motorcycles since my 1st 1972 Hodaka 100 B+. I currently own a 2003 Kawasaki ZX9R Ninja and a 1984 Honda XL200. I have been very curious about trials since seeing it on wide world of sports back in the early 80's but have never even sat on a trials bike. We just sold my sons 1st bike (Honda 70) because he outgrew it. I am considering a vintage TY250 for him because he has expressed an interest in novice trials riding and anything that gets him off of the computer is great to me. I have come to this forum in search of advice and information.

Hi all: Back in the 80's, when I was a "real" trials rider (not the imaginary rider I have de-volved into in recent years.....), I used to get these great European and Japanese trials videos from Cosmopolitan Motors (the old US Beta importer). There were compilations of World Rounds, Beta factory stuff and Japanese instruction tapes. When I joined Trials Central, I eagerly went through all of the great videos posted (thank you, Andy!) and have found that I need more. I would like to find outdoor world champ DVD's, top rider practice sessions, UK or Euro training instruction. I am a bit isolated now that my favorite nearby riding areas have gone under state control and we…

Hi, I'm returning to the sport after many years (another mid-life crisis, maybe!) and I'm trying to reach some like-minded, as well as like-mounted, folks in central Bulgaria. (Enduro & motocross bikes are the most popular) Hopefully have a social scene, get out in the fantastic countryside here, as well as lay out some sections for some competition... well, at least to test ourselves a bit!
