Hi, I'm returning to the sport after many years (another mid-life crisis, maybe!) and I'm trying to reach some like-minded, as well as like-mounted, folks in central Bulgaria. (Enduro & motocross bikes are the most popular) Hopefully have a social scene, get out in the fantastic countryside here, as well as lay out some sections for some competition... well, at least to test ourselves a bit!

Just thought I would introduce myself here as I have interested in trials bikes for a few years. I am now determined to purchase my first trials bike within the next few months...as soon as I can save up enough. I have never ridden a trials bike but I rode a lot of BMX and FMB and learned some of the basic trials bicycle principles over the years. I may be underestimating a 150lb motorcycle but I assume some of the same principles apply. I grew up on dirt bikes and ride on the street but this will be my first trials experience. Hi all, new member to the forum. Been riding bikes for 30 plus years but only just getting into trials! Just bought myself a Sherco 200, helmet, boots gloves etc, and looking forward to doing my first 'beginners' trial at the end of March. Hey guys! So as the title says I am a trials newbie and recently purchased a 1985 TY350 Yamaha trials bike as my first. Anyways, I would like to see if there are any mods to making the ty 350 smoother and maybe a tad bit lighter? I was told this would be a good starter and from a lot of older gentlemen, it is a great bike and it is! I am practicing the basics (also trying to jump the gun and do fancy stuff) and I have to say it's kind of difficult. Bunnyhopping the ty is kind of a pain but I also think im not using my suspension to the fullest. A couple of months ago I inadvertently came across a couple of guys practising for an upcoming local trials competition, met a guy from my hometown, he let me ride his Beta, I was hooked, have since searched for a late model trails bike, no luck, but did find a new 2016 Montesa 4RT260, snatched it up before it was bought by a "competitor", more bike than I need, but it was available. Have since been practicing in back yard, very challenging, pros make it look easy to ride very slowly/stopped and stay balanced. Next step is to hookup with local riders. Hi there everyone I'm lewis 24 from bristol I'm looking into getting my first trials bike. I have absolutely no experience what so ever so should be good fun learning, I'm hoping to build my kit up slowly so far I've got my bike rack ready for my tow bar I'm also looking at a jitsie radical helmet for £40 on eBay and also a xc- ting suit for £50 anybody own any of these are they any good? I'm hoping someone local can recommend some practice areas I can learn (embarrass myself) and maybe teach me the basics to get me started. Also will be on the look out for a cheap starter bike in a month or two hopfully if anyone is thinking of selling soon.

I finally picked up a 1999 GasGas TXT270 a couple weeks ago after being harassed by my sponsor (GasGas Pacific) for way too long about getting into trials riding. About me, well, I'm 23 years old, mechanical engineer, live in beautiful BC and love riding motorcycles! I started riding 9 years ago, then started racing harescrambles about 7 years ago. Hello everyone this is my first post here but ive been riding trail and enduro bikes for a few years. I recently did a top end rebuild on a mates Beat and after riding it around the garden decided that trials was in fact, very cool. SO i rushed out and Ive just bought an old (1991) Aprilia climber 280 trials bike to knock about on during the winter while I save for a 2005/2006 YZ or CR 125 to do enduros on next year. Hi folks,after 30 years and nearing 60,I have decided to get a bike again. I have never rode a trial bike before but thinking this was the safest option over road and motocross,i took the plunge and bought a 2001 gasgas txt 280.i am still trying to find my balance and lose my sanity. Hello folks , I've never set foot on a trials bike, ive road motorcycles since i was a kid and road with a few road race clubs for the last five year but never a trials bike and ive been told that its alot different to what im used to so I'm on the lookout for as much advice as I can get. I live in the Leeds area and would like to know where would be the best place to go and ride trials, what gear would you recommend I need and what bikes should be on my wish list. Two bikes keep cropping up in recommendations and that's the Shirco 290 and the Beta Rev3 250. Your opinions are much appreciated many thanks, Mick.

Hello all. Glad to be a part of this site. I bought an '04 GasGas 280 on July 4th as my first ever trials bike. My thought process is that it will help ALL the other forms of riding I do. Currently I race hare scrambles and enduros at the A level, and I am a Motorcycle Safety Foundation certified coach for the basic and advanced rider courses. I look forward to learning as much as I can about trials and am entering my first event this weekend. As much fun as I have had plonking around the house I cannot imagine that the event will be anything less than spectacular.

Hi guys I'm a complete newbie, from Hawkesbay NZ. Got introduced to trials by a friend a few months back and after watching the first event I was convinced. Just bought a 2013 GasGas 250 txt pro, and had a total of 1 hour on it. It is much to good a bike for me, over the years my riding has been road bikes only. Trials is going to be a huge learning curve. Where should I start? Looking forward to learning. Thanks Floyd

HI all This is my 1964 Tiger Cub TR20, which has been heavily modified (I was told by Comerfords) which I have owned since the mid 70's. It wasn't a runner when I bought it and since then various storage periods haven't been kind to it. I am now in a position to do it justice and a full restoration. I am going to need advice on electricals, but the oily bits I am comfortable with having worked on various marques over the years. I have the handlebars but they have been removed for transportand ease of storage. Wil certainly be seeking advive as time goes by. Thanks for looking

Hello folks, I have Barged in using My Son's registration details. Yesterday I "Registered", or thought I had. The System aknowledged my registration---- E Mail address, log in name and password. No acknowledgement has reached my E Mail adress. I tried to log in tonight using said User Name and password. However , No Go! Message reads--- "This E Mail address is already in use" or words to that effect. So a second attempt at registering has been futile. No. 1 Son has not used My address, so that aint the prob! Hi All, This is by way of introducing myself because I'm computer stupid and can't get the "Introduce yourself" feature to work. I'm a soon to be ex road racer and am looking for a new hobby more in keeping with my advanced years. I've always fancied gently tweaking an MZ 250 to make a slightly more tractable road bike. Now whilst I've done more then my fair share of tuning various two strokes to go road racing on, I suddenly realise I know nothing about how to extract "bottom end" grunt like modern trials bike have in abundance nor how to get "mid range" tractability plus reasonable performance like modern motocross bikes develop.
