Hello to all . I have currently just bought a new off road Chinese ( clone Honda 250 ) from a dealer on eBay . The bike needs to be registered it is insured on the vin no and is fully loaded with lights , speedo , horn etc . The dealer is reluctant to to give me nova reference so I can continue on to DVLA .I am in touch with HMRC but all seamed to haven’t stalled. The dealer is quoting it is for off-road use only , but surely import tax must have been paid and that’s all I need as proof. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Just bought my first trials bike, a 1990 Fantic 247 (w/ 305 graphics) converted to twin shock. Another forum member (forgot who) did the work a few years back, I just picked it up from my local trials shop. Converted to run a local air cooled / drum / conventional fork / twin shock class. I'm in the central New York area. Having fun putting around my backyard. Going to attend events next season. Let me know if you're in the area!

Hi guys , I've been riding a gasgas250 pro since May using Plutoline 2 stroke as per the previous owner. Have read a few forums I have decided to change to Ipone. Not sure whether I should drain the tank /clean out the carb before changing or just mix it up and pour in the tank. The bike has been running ok but seems to struggle a little at tick over. I have been mixing 80ml/5litres. Any advice welcome.. Thanks in advance

Hi guys, So here I am contemplating another bike. 2 years back I had my workshop broken into and my bikes stolen. My main ride was a KTM SXF 350 and I had a li'l Beta Rev3 250 2007 for messing about on. I incidentally got the Beta back after it had been dumped (it was a bit rough to be fair) however after retrieval I left it in my van over night to have it nicked again and that was 3 weeks later after the 1st theft hmmmm something fishy going on there me thinks. Anyhoo Vowed I wouldn't ride or buy a bike again!! Well my 'vow' isnt holding water, 2 years on and I'm feeling like ive lost a limb and am starting to look at trials bikes. My experience with trials is …

I'm having some issues with a newly rebuilt Bultaco Alpina clutch(#187). It has a new pushrod, ball bearing, mushroom, basket, hub, plates and steels, springs and throwout bearing. Clutch engages and disengages fine when I adjust it on the bench. But, when I start it and put it in gear I get a terrible squealing and it lurches. It sounds like a bearing trying to seize. I've changed out the throwout bearing and it still happens. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi All Not a rider in Trials anymore , only did it for one season which I think was 1956 , not a misprint 1956, but the attraction has never left me , and the sound of a big single is still fantasic to me. I spectate and do a bit of observing now , I admire all the skills shown by young and not so young. The bikes have changed from my day [improved] but happy to report the polite'ness of all concerned is as it was in the 50'5 . Excellent To all the youngsters out there just enjoy your selves , it's a great sport.

Hi all, thought I'd post a line or two - new to the forums but not to trials riding Name is Judd - I live out near Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado - around 7k feet, great area for trials riding, many people have said one of the best. I get out on a trials ride at least once a day, it's in my backyard - pretty spoiled out here Thought I would post a couple of pics of my bikes, I have a 1975 TL250 and a 1994 Beta Synt 260 (well, also an '03 YZ250F, an '00 CR125, a '98 KX110, a '72 Kawasaki F7220, and a '77 DT100, lol): My SYNT just died on the way down the trail yesterday, no spark - so am currently investigating that problem....hoping their is a fuse o…

Hello everyone, thought I'd sign up as I'm just in the process of getting back into trials after a long break. I've bought a 2008 Gas Gas Raga which I'm getting next weekend which is pretty exciting! Used to ride a lot of trials in the late 1990s, mostly on Beta Technos, those were great bikes but they've come on a bit eh?! The new gas gas pretty much balances itself! Are these legal in clubman trials?!?! This looks to be a great forum, loads of info and knowledge. Really looking forward to getting back into the sport. Cheers Mike

Hello everyone, I used to ride a bit of trials as a kid, a long time ago! and now I would like to start riding again. I am from the Leamington Spa area and have not been able to find the Startford club on the web. I am looking for a cheap bike and I think I would like to start in the classic or twin shock classes, any help or advice would be useful.

Hi all.....Not only am I new to the forum, I'm new to trials too. I've been riding for a good few years and have always had sportsbikes, but I think my tastes are changing and I really fancy having a go at a more technical discipline, although I still have my trackbike for high speed rushes. I'm going through the process of trying to find the best bike within my budget (looking at Sherco 2.5 on advice from a mate) Based right on the south coast in Portsmouth Anyway........Hi
