Hi Forum Not sure what to say really. I'm from Derby but moved to Germany for a couple of year work 15 years ago. I ride Gas Gas 280, which I have to admit does scare me a little. I've only been doing trial for a couple of months and don't really have a lot of idea but I've got some good freinds who are showing me the ropes so all good I suppose.

Hi all just brought a Monty 315R first solo trials bike i have owned, used to ride sidecar trials with my dad, he was an top class rider when he was younger and i rode with him for 8 years when i was old enough and really enjoyed it. Haven't riden solo much at all and its 15 years since i rode at all. Run a cycle shop here in North Devon Uk so still ride "bikes" . Really looking forward to getting out on it soon, but prepared to be completly rubbish. Would be nice to find out if there are any groups that practice/socially ride locally to me. Just got a couple of things on bike i want to sort, clutch needs a bleed and adjust, and possible clutch oil change as there is a …

Hi all, im very new to the scene, since starting a family I have slowly been moving away from road riding, I recently purchased a very nice KTM 990 Adventure R with the intention of rallying it but when my son (3 1/2yo) took an interest in a friends Oset, I decided that I should get him one for Christmas, so in doing so I thought it would be an opportunity to give up road riding for a few years and concentrate on off roading solely, I always wanted an off road bike when I was young but was never lucky enough to get one, so now I’m in a position to do so for my son I sold the 990 and got him an Oset 16R and I thought I’d get myself a Montesa 4rt as my introduction to …

Hullo - Gradually moving towards getting a very cheap (bit of a dog) Matchless G3L '49 hardtail trials trim bike to reliable standard. Glad to hear from other owners to swap notes or more realistcally give me a bit more knowledge. All the best.

Hi, Andrew here. Just starting out in trials at the tender age of 56, and with a dodgy right arm. I've previously owned a Honda TL125 which i loved, and stupidly sold in a moment of weakness. Recently got a Montesa Cota 172 project bike to get riding again (been off bikes for 5 years due to a bad accident, not bike, or car), and then bought a basket case Mk111 Montesa Cota 243. I'm going to have lots of questions, but foremost is. How much oil goes in a cota 173? Do you have to lift the engine in the frame to undo the plug? And finally, why did Montesa put the plug in such a stupid place? I sort of get why there is no oil level provision, it's a competition bike, but it w…

Hi I'm a new member of this forum. I'm from near Stamford bridge on A66 and my son's and I fancy trying trial's riding. I'm a bit old really but my youngest is 12. I understand he would only be able to ride a 125 if doing any proper ACU trials but he needs to learn bike control firstly. He has risen auto bikes so far. So we are looking for starter 125 bike and maybe a 2 bike trailer. My son wants some size 6 boots if anyone has grown out of theirs and somewhere to go practicing. We hope to join Scarborough MC once we have some SH bikes but could do with somewhere closer to York really?

Hi I have an 84 mh200 and have similar questions to everyone else. I removed the sump guard to find no obvious drain plug for oil. Found one on the right hand casing which was awkward but not impossible to remove . I'm a bit concerned with people saying clutch / gear oil separate on these bikes . Can anyone tell me what's what with regard to what oils , and quantities and location of sump plug ??? I have removed 1200 ml from the right hand plug . Do I replace this with light gear oil or something else ? Is there anywhere that I can obtain a workshop manual ?

Hi everyone, Totally new to trials at the grand old age of 50. ? i do ride on the road, currently running a 2017 Ktm Superduke 1290, but wanting to try trials riding for those colder wetter winter days. ive just brought an old 1999 Beta Techno 250 & have yet used it in anger, just pottered around the garden. So im now looking for local trials venues, i think the closest is Raydon pits, but need to find a phone number as to how to access etc ive got a fair few newbie questions, but will try to search the forum first, but you'll have to excuse me if i do ask commonly asked questions

Hi there everyone, just got into trials. I have a bit of land to practice on,as I'm a totall novice that's fun at the moment plus also got a few bits to ride over etc. Looking at getting one of the training DVDs soon to make sure I'm using the correct techniques. I have only recently moved to the kings Lynn area so just wondering if anyone knows of clubs or places to ride in the area? Would be good to get out and ride some new places instead of the garden! Look forward to chatting to everyone
