As you may have guessed I'm brand new to the site (it was recommended by a friend) I've just got my lad Andrew (he's 12) an old (1982ish) Suzuki TS125ER to learn on He has been having lessons at a place called BUMPY near Leeds where you can take your trial bike and ride to your hearts content - some of you may have already heard or even used this place, they have been really friendly and helpful and I recommend them highly to anyone who is looking to get into off roading. They don't allow crossers either - which can only be a good thing as they would probably bring the fatality figures above what their liability insurance will allow!!! We (me and my lad) are in the p…

Hi all from Sunny California! Enjoyed browsing the site. Turns out I rode Trials for a while in Europe, many many years ago (OK, OK in the 70s... ) Well, the bug has bitten again, in part driven by the great newer bikes and by fond memories of fun in the woods. So, I'm presently looking for a bike and if successful, may just get to enjoy the sport again. Hope to participate and perhaps contribute a bit later on to the site! best regards Eric

Hello to everyone! Just thought I'd take this opportunity to say 'Hello' on this forum to see how friendly everyone is and just to say a little bit about me ? So I've been riding motorbikes for over 30 years: starting on a CR80 back in the day and have very fond memories of the Park Patrol chasing us over the school fields ?. I've been riding road bikes for over 25 years, clocking up some serious miles both socially and commuting. So I thought i'd give myself a new challenge on my 50th birthday and learn the skills of a trails rider - I have had a little bit of experience in 'the chair' before. Luckily for me my close friends have lots of experience in Endur…

Hi there Just starting to look at trials bikes with a view to doing a few events and generally playing about. Been riding enduro's for 3 years or so and have always fancied a shot at trials. There are also a lot more events closer to where I live compared to enduro. Currently in the market for a bike and if anyone has one or a suggestion as to what would be a good beginners bike then let me know. Cheers for now. Stu

Hello all from sunny Grimsby just getting myself back into trials and fancied something a bit older than the bikes i used to play on. Got myself an old 1956 Ariel NH 350 (well the main bits) to build up and ride. Though i had better say hello before picking brains etc.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the Forums and I'm returning to trials after a very long break! I'm now 48 yrs old and have not been back on a trials bike, until recently, since 1976 when I enjoyed riding a Montesa 348. I rode flat track (short track) here in the states for a few years before moving over to Motocross and Trail Riding and then along came the children. When they started riding Motocross through out their youth, it kept me quite busy keeping up with them and their bikes. I kept riding trails through the backwoods during this time but I missed my first love,,,,TRIALS. I guess they say you are never to old to relive your past and chase your first passion...I…

Hi there. I am a greybeard from Malmoe in southern Sweden. This year I returned to trials after more than 20 years! I bought a Beta Rev3 270 (2000 model) in May this year an since then I have changed bike twice! I sold the Beta to a friend and got me a Sherco 2,9 (2003 model) and of course another friend bought that one from me a couple of weeks later! So now I own a Sherco 2,9 Cabestany Replica (2007). This bike is truly amazing so I think I will keep it for at least a couple of weeks more...... Anyway, I am glad that I am back on a trialsbike again after all these years. Keep your feet on the pegs! //Anders Hmmm, that new 2008 Sherco 3,2 4T looks like a nice …
