Hi folks, My name is Kev and I live in Northumberland. I've got a trail bike at the minute but I never use it and then this weekend just gone I went to my first trial (Bedlington & Distric MC) to practice my photography and I'm dying to have a go now. Before I take the plunge and sell the KTM though I want to find somewhere to get some instruction, hire a bike, do some training you know the kind of thing. So if anyone knows of any trials schools then let me know and I'd be really grateful. See you around Kev PS what's the score with siggies and links to photo galleries are they allowed or not?

Hi all. Just stumbled across this site while looking for some info on my new (to me at least) Beta Techno 250. Thought i'd sign up and see what its all about I'm a total novice to the world of trials riding - got my first trials bike just last week! I got too envious of my 2 neighbors and their gas gas bikes, and seeing and hearing about the stuff they get up to and the apparent enjoyment they have on them was too much to ignore so i set about finding a cheapish starter bike to see what its like. I eventually picked up my '97 techno for the princely sum of 480 quid. She's been in the wars and has the scars to prove it but with a little tidying and setting up i think it'…

Hi everyone, Im completely new to motorbike trials. Not completely new to bikes, used to own a cbr 600 but decided road riding wasnt for me. Im now looking for my first bike and would like to know your thoughts. ( i know this has been covered a million times). Got around 2k to play with, from what i've read so far a 250 is the way to go. Iv seen a 14 gasgas for sale around my price range. Iv also seen a mint beta evo 290, my question is would a 290 be too much for me. I 5'11 and 15 n half stone..what do you guys think?? I know the best thing to do is try and ride each one to see for myself but none of my mates ride them and not sure where i could try them out.…

Broke my back pretty badly, sold my GasGas thinking I’d never ride again…well guess what!? I’m back (pun intended). i sucked on my GasGas and I’ll prolly suck worse on my new to me (but exceptionally clean, still has the original tires) ‘13 250 Evo Factory with my new back issues….. I want to focus on my balance and control precision and hopefully get a little stronger in the process. 53 years young….owned a **** ton (almost 75) of different bikes over 43 years of riding and racing, but never good enough to be top at anything. Braaaap from the Big Island ! Skiddy

Hi all, As the title says, been reading the forums for a bit and finally decided to book myself onto a trials experience day later this month. Been a road rider in the Uk for years and after a brief midlife enduro crisis a few years ago :-D I think... maybe I'm better suited to Trials, really want to do more with my weekends that's bike related and off road but suitable for a 50 something kid !! Anyway... I guess I'll know if it's for me in a couple of weeks ! No doubt there will be lots of questions and archive browsing..... ? Thanks Crispy

(Good day from SA!) Hi trialsters! I acquired a 2005 Beta Rev3 270 some months back, but due to wrist injuries from MX riding, I was unable to ride it more than a few times or work on it I've now healed up and started taking apart the bike and I'm hoping for no major surprises! Rebuilding post: http://www.trialscen...it-05-rev3-270/ Photos so far:

Figure I had better introduce myself. My name is Kevin, and live in Fife, Scotland. I'm in my 40's and decided to start trialling with a few of my workmates. Dug in and bought me a Beta 290 2010 EVO, and all the new kit. ( I'm like action man - an outfit for every eventuality) Anyhow did my first trial on Sunday and got a few cleans on the "b" route. So well chuffed. Anyone with helpfull hints / tips / places to ride local etc much appreciated. Kev

OK so I thought its about time I did something sensible..... and get a trials bike... so I went out and bought a Beta 4 stroke... 3 weeks later I am getting quite proficient at falling off... although the limp is getting better, the guys in the office are still ripping the pi55... I have even been loaned a copy of Nitro Circus to show me what a wimp I am being... So yesterday I go for a practice somewhere local and stumble across a couple of guys doing the same (All be it not falling off but mostly fixing them!!) ... and one of them is a fully paid up member of the Tubby Trials Team......and talked me into joining this forum for some 'support'!! So please help .. does …

Have just purchased a TL 250 1975 Model after looking for over 8 years , I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any difference between the 75 & 76 apart from the colour of the side cover decals (on the 75 they are Red & Orange and the 76 they are just Orange) any info on TL's would be much appreciated, also as I will be restoring this bike slowly does anyone know if you can do anything to bring the alloy cases of the engine back to shiny again, I have been told of using a very light wire brush on a drill to buff them but am not sure ..... Cheers rock1

I had logged on as oldtlsdoug back in 2009, that id fell off. Anyway, I was given a 2006 Beta Rev 3 270. It needs a kickstarter and maybe a stator. My plan is to change the kickstarter, see if she runs, then deal with the stator if not. I am a little reluctant to mix the gas 80:1, but it seems the going mix, so I guess I will. I think I have some Maxima K2 full synthetic oil. For the crankcase I have a lot of leftover Motorex 4T full synth 20W50 from my RC8 days. I am hoping I can use that. Anyway, I am looking forward to playing with the thing when I get her running.

As this is my first post and there's an "introduce yourself" section I thought I would say a quick hello. I'm Chris and have a 1966 Bultaco Sherpa that I'm planning to restore in the coming months, or maybe years as not in too much hurry. From browsing the forums I've been awed and impressed by the depth of knowledge and support so a big thanks for all the information I've already gleaned but I have many more questions. The bike is not in great nick although is mostly complete (I do have the wheels). I've owned it since 1982 when, after destroying my brother's "field bike" (a Casal), my dad bought me the Sherpa mainly to shut me up as I was a bit bike bonkers. Anyway, it'…
