At school (long time ago), the teacher told me to say: "how do you do", when you meet English people... already spend some time around reading (I tought, that's a "lurker" in English, isn't it?) I believe the community here is quiet international, but now Andy can add a number in the Belgian departement. Hi folks My names Tom, im 21 and a previous member at Earl Shilton T.C. in Leicester. I used to ride a 99 Cota 315 but I havent trialed for a good 7 years now, i did up until i was about 13-14 but unfortunately had to give it up for a weekend job! Great compromise right! Anyway, im looking at starting up again sometime next year, need to do a bit of saving first to get hold of a few necessesities, like a bike and some new gear because i sold all of it when the Montesa had to go. Anyway, im thinking of getting a Sherco 2.9 about 2004ish. If anybody knows of anything going or anywhere to cheap gear, would be interested to hear from you. I'm a little out of touch Tom

hi people, me and a friend are new to trials and have both got 2003 sherco,s we have been to cowm quarry in rochdale about 8 times now and loving it. we would be gratefull of any advise on other places local to go and if anybody has any links on here about tips on riding that would be really helpfull, also, totally off subject, i need two new tyres and i can get pirelli mt 43's pretty cheap but are they any good or should i get mich x11's which is on it allready. thanks for any help

Hi there, 50 something returnee to the feet up game, (last time over 30 years ago with a Golner kt250 ) jumped straight in and brought a '97 315r Montesa/Honda...Umm eeek ! No no no......whilst that's still sat in garage, have returned to sanity, (and able to touch the ground) with a brace of twinshock Montesa cota's, a 123 and a 348 Malcolm Rathmell rep.

Hey folks! I'm diving in here head first to the land of vintage dirtbikes, trials, and 2-stroke engine repair. I fell in love with the look of Spanish bikes trying to scare up moped parts locally at Hogan's Cycle Shop in Agawam, MA, and here I am a few years later, elbows deep in a complete teardown to revive a seriously seized-and-left-for-dead 1976 Alpina 250 model 165. My theory is if I do the rebuild right off the bat (not like I had a choice with this particular specimen), the internal condition will be a known quantity, I'll have something I can ride longer, and I'll be able to do repairs more easily. It's been very educational so far and I can't wait to hear it…

Hi Just bought a Montesa Cota 315R. Not sure yet how far I want to go with it. Realistically I'll probably just use it for the odd day out at Tom's farm and anywhere else I can find at first and then when its road registered will probably use it for green laning. Might like to get good enough to join a club but we will have to see how I get on with it! Been into Moto-x prior to this and have a Husqvarna CR430 (Aka the Swedish Satan) but at the moment I'm not riding it much as I am really struggling to find places in the midlands to ride it as I'm not into big jumps and tabletops etc and the only enduro track I know of is only open on Sunday and I can't do Sundays :-( B…

Hi All, This is by way of introducing myself because I'm computer stupid and can't get the "Introduce yourself" feature to work. I'm a soon to be ex road racer and am looking for a new hobby more in keeping with my advanced years. I've always fancied gently tweaking an MZ 250 to make a slightly more tractable road bike. Now whilst I've done more then my fair share of tuning various two strokes to go road racing on, I suddenly realise I know nothing about how to extract "bottom end" grunt like modern trials bike have in abundance nor how to get "mid range" tractability plus reasonable performance like modern motocross bikes develop. Hi I went to have a look at a 250 Sherco yesterday. The bike ran fine and was clean enough although when put into gear the clutch was siezed. It only took 30 seconds or so of riding to free itself although the bike had been riden earlier that day. I was just wondering if this is a common Sherco fault and should I steer clear of it. Once free the bike ran ok. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi, I am about to rebuild a 1982 Montesa Honda 123 which was taken apart years ago and have some questions if anyone can help, such as amount of gear oil it takes, 2 stroke mix ratio and I have a piece that i am sure is from the bike (photo attached) but I cannot figure out what it is. any help would be greatly appreciated Mike

Hi Folks! I'm a Brit living in Cyprus, been here 5 years, enjoying the weather. Just bought myself a second hand Gas Gas 280 TXT, I probably own 50% of the trials bikes in Cyprus now. At the moment I have 3 road bikes, a Suzuki DRZ400E, plus the new addition. I'm new to trials, so I'll be pickin' your brains for a few pointers, to keep me on the straight and narrow. On the down side, there are no "Trials" to enter over here, on the plus side I live in the sticks and have, virtually, unlimited access to miles and miles of mountain tracks, less than 100yds from my front door. There are very few restrictions on where you can ride here, the only problem being, there are…

Hello to all...New to this forum, I'm glad I found it! I have a 1972 OSSA MAR that has been in our family since the 1973-1974 time frame. The MAR belonged to my brother when he lived in NJ. Around 75-76 he dropped it off at may Mom's house in PA...and being the younger brother I just had to ride it! I loved riding it but when my Mom moved to Texas in '78 the Ossa went with her (since it was really belonged to my older brother) and sat unridden baking in her shed in the Texas sun for the next 23 years. Then my Brother moved to Alabama and retrieved the Ossa from my Mom's shed and took it to his new home in Alabama...where it sat in his garage covered with dust wi…
