Hi there, New member here, I've just bought a project bike it is a Ossa Mick Andrews replica. I think it is a Mk 1, strangely it hasn't a side stand lug mount so I assume it never came with a side stand mount? It needs a bit of work but the bones are there, no spark so today is pulling the very stuck stator and hope it is just cut wires at the bottom, definate ly will be running the wires out of the front. Anybody here who knows about Ossa as I no nothing at all

Hi everyone, my name is rob and located in the hull area. after a year of looking into green lanes and trail/trial riding I am looking at getting a trials bike so that I have something that would be good at both. my choice is between a 4rt or beta 4t 300 i ride a super sports mainly but am looking for something different to challenge me and possibly increase my ability off road. I love the idea of getting up something very steep of difficult but don't ever see myself as the next Toni bou. After reading many posts saying don't ask which is best ha ha ha I was just wondering how to two bikes compare, mainly the carb v fi also has anyone chang…

Hi all. Well finally got a trials bike - better late than never. ‘86 ty250 that’s a bit old and tatty (like it’s owner). Guess i’ll be here a fair bit ad i can’t find a useful workshop manual. Sorting the clutch is the first issue as it’s not good. Lever pulls but the bike barely rolls. I put in 5th a gently rocked it to free it up as it seemed stuck - it did the old leap forward when i put it in gear, clutch lever pulled in! Help always Appreciated. Thanks. Beardy.

Hello All, I have just brought a Beta Rev 3 270cc 2005. I live in Tamworth, Staffordshire. I found out yesterday that the Olympia park in Bickenhill had changed to a Motocross only this was done about 17 years ago. I use to ride my motocross bike back in 1988-1992 on the ruff ground next door to the above park, they wouldn't let on the Olympia park with my bike :-( Now in 2008 I have a trials bike and I still can't ride it at this park :-( can you believe it! Please help... where can I practice locally around Tamworth? fingers crossed Paul.

Hello all. With the family all grown up and independant, and a couple of spare quid in the bank, what better than to get back into motorbikes after a 25 year break? While I was mainly into motocross and road bikes, I did dabble in trials for a bit with an old Ossa. Now starting up afresh, based near Henley on Thames in South Oxon - any pointers towards local trials clubs, dealers, comps - anything please. And if I buy a Gas Gas 300 - will it kill me? Cheers

I have a budget of approximately £1500 to purchase a bike to start on, whilst I have been riding over 25 years I have only ridden a trials bike on a couple of occasions. Any advice appreciated, I'm looking for a club etc in my area, if anyone has a bike for starting off on around my budget give me a shout also. Thanks in advance Jay Shep

Hey guys, my names Jamie. I'm 22 from Great Yarmouth. Upon recently acquiring a little pitbike (nicknamed the widow maker... Don't ask!) my love for motorcycles has been restored! Years back (I was maybe 15-16?) I used to be heavily into push bike trials (not that good though) and after always asking for a motorbike my parents caved and bought me an old Gas Gas 250. Every weekend I was down my local trials park learning to ride. One day the bike stopped running and has been in the shed since! I'm going to go over to the parents house and dig it back out this weekend and see if I can work out whys up. Hopefully was just something simple but as its been sitting for 6-7 ye…

Hi. I am a transplanted Brit who immigrated to Canada in 1974.I have been riding trials on and off for the past 45 years. Before leaving the UK I made the terrible mistake of getting rid of my Greeves Scottish early 60's X works bike. I believe it may have been Don Smiths ride at some point in his career. My present bike is a 1983 Can-Am 310 which I purchased from new. Also, along with the parts catalog and owners manual was a covering letter signed by the great Jeff Smith, who was a consultant for Can-Am at that time. I rode the Can-Am in competitive trials as a solo machine for many years before adding a Trident hack/sidecar. As the only member of my trials club (The …

Hi everyone. I purchased a 1990 something Aprilia 280 Climber a couple of years ago. Before I could ride it, I found out that the piston and cylinder were damaged due to sever detonation. I've spent the last couple of years trying to find the parts to fix it but I finally have up and looked for a new ride. I went to the Nationals in Sequatchie, TN to watch my first trials event live. I meet some wonderful people that helped me better understand the event and to find a bike. A Sherco mechanic, Brad, found a 2015 Sherco 300 for an amazing price that I just couldn't pass up. I can't say enough about all of the help Ryan Young and his employees have given me. I'm a loyal Sher…

Hi guys I’ve more or less recovered from a life threatening road accident some ignorant git ran straight into me while I was on my beloved ktm 250 exc , I’ve had 2 stroke ktm and 6 days 4 stroke , raced in cotswold enduro slow pete series also hours and hours of green laning, been a off reader for 8 years, It’s took me 3 years to recover and I have a metal left leg from knee upwards and a titanium shoulder with 50% movement of left arm , so wife said no more bikes or divorce , but surprisingly she is ok with a trails bike as I’ll ever ride on the road again , I am 53 6 foot tall and since accident now way around 16 stone ( can’t wait to ride again as love it but also to g…

Hello everyone, thought I'd sign up as I'm just in the process of getting back into trials after a long break. I've bought a 2008 Gas Gas Raga which I'm getting next weekend which is pretty exciting! Used to ride a lot of trials in the late 1990s, mostly on Beta Technos, those were great bikes but they've come on a bit eh?! The new gas gas pretty much balances itself! Are these legal in clubman trials?!?! This looks to be a great forum, loads of info and knowledge. Really looking forward to getting back into the sport. Cheers Mike

Hi to all. I have an admission to make I don't own a trials bike ? I have been riding for nearly 42 years cycling, road bikes, MX,and enduro I have only ridden a trials bike once. It was a friends Fantic 125 twin shock, it put me on my backside very quickly as I remember. It was along time ago and for some reason it's started to burn me that I have missed out on a great part of motorcyling. One of my enduro riding buddies has just bought a very nice TRS and is loving it. So the plan is to learn a bit about the sport and get myself a trials bike before I am to worn out to enjoy it ? I hope to get to a couple of local events in the Ipswich area a…

Hey one and all, Just wanted to say hi to you guys, I've just bought an olden but golden 1983 Honda TLR200D, the old girl has just arrived today and she's in need of some care but bless her she runs and is still full of life. Been a good few years since I've rode trials, I dabbled a bit back in the UK many years ago and loved the trials scene, not just the riding but everything that goes with it, so time to get back out there. I will post some pics of how she is now and how I get on with restoring and riding her, any advice etc is greatly appreciated. Cheers Dave

Hi everyone. I'm Andy. Last time I rode in trials was about 1995, I had an Aprilia Climber - what a reliability nightmare that thing was. Parts were hard to get, and expensive. I've had a break for the last ten years (Although I've wandered along to watch the odd trial near home, and have done quite a bit of trail riding on a Suzuki DRZ400) but I want to get back into trials again! I don't want to spend mega bucks on a bike at first, in case I end up not using it much, so have a budget of around
