Hi all, My name is Henry, 38 years young and living in Tilburg (Holland). I have ridden al kinds of roadbikes since the age of 18. So a two wheeler is part of my life. But... Riding a bike in holland becomes a pain in the ass. Traffic lights, speed controls and mostly straight roads. Having fun on a roadbike makes it necassary to go abroad (my opinion). Untill now. My brother invited me to come along and trial for a day during a kind of trialclinic. A week later we bought a trialbike, Beta rev 3270cc '07, together and joined the nearest club, MSC trialclub Breda. We're absolute beginners but the fun is enormous. So I think the roadbike will leave the garage soon to mak…

Greeting from New Hampshire, USA! I haven't ridden a bike in about 40 Years! I am now 54 and purchased "new to me" a 06' Montesa 4rt, trying to learn to balance etc, haven't fallen yet, nor have I left 1st gear.......previous owner has done an engine oil change....but not the filter, I have the owners manual, however , "if" some one has a change coming up soon, could they make a quick video? I heard mixed things, some say easy, some say not so, I am some what mechanically inclined...Thanks again! Philip

Hi all, I've eventually got around to doing something about getting myself some info on the Classic Trials scene, I live in mid Wales so if anybody can point me in the right direction for local clubs and events that would be great. I have been thinking about getting a bike and riding for some time but not got around to doing it, but 2023 is going to be the year. I ride road bikes and have a collection of 70's and 80's Jap bikes which I have restored, so adding to that and doing any work is the easy bit. Thanks, Phil

Hello All, I am new to trials but not new to bikes, I have owned and ridden an 1986 Honda XL250R since 2001 and in the last 3 years have owned a couple CBR600 F2s and a CBR600 F4i. I have just sold my nicest sport bike ('02 red/black CBR 600 F4i) so that I can get into trials. But I still ride a 1991 CBR F2 daily. I recently got a couple of project bikes, an '85 XR250R and a dirt only '86 XL250R to thrash on the trails. Looks like there are a few other Canadians on this forum but haven't seen many from BC... you wet coasters out there? I bought a 2004 Sherco 290. If anyone has any Sherco expertise or just trials newbie advice that would be great! (I am also new to 2s…

Hello everyone, I'm a complete novice when it comes to trials. Live is Sligo, Northwest of Ireland. Day job is a motorcycle instructor when there's enough work. Please see www.mrtg.ie ( not touting for business, just some further info.) Found the site via web search about sticking clutch on my Sherco 290 just arrived yesterday. I will try the suggestions. Well again hello and I'm sure I will meet some of you in the future after I've fallen off a few times. Bye for now.

At the grand old age of 58, I must be mad to try my hand at trials riding again ? I made the fatal mistake of going to a Witley MCC trial back in March (ended up observing) and met up with lots of old riding friends from the 70's; many were still competing and enjoying the camaraderie of the trials world. I found myself looking at twinshock M/C's and of cause "the inevitable" has happened with the purchase of a MH 349. The bike needs some TLC but I am enjoying the challenge; tinkering in the garage at night, fighting with the rear tyre etc only to realise how out of touch I am. Ian.

Hello! I found this place after a quick google on tinternet so thought I best sign up and say Hello. (Worked for Adele!) Iv been into bikes since I was a little kid, starting in the field at 9yrs old on an old DT125 then doing my CBT at 16 and full test at 17. Iv ridden most diciplines (mostly road based) and currently own 10 bikes, ranging from an R1 through a KTM525 to a mini moto and some mopedathon racers, but trials is the one thing iv never done, I was an avid fan of kickstart as a kid and my oldest brother had a TY175 years back. Last year I bought my youngest (he is 6) a little beta 50 as a step up from the PW50 he was riding, so have decided I'm now too goin…

Hi just wanted to introduce myself, this is my first post ever online and my first delve into trial bikes. I live in South Shields, Tyne and Wear area. When i was younger i lived around Preston way and all me pals had trials bikes which fascinated me, i finally found myself in a good financial position and was offered a good deal on a 09 beta evo which i now own. Im sure i will ask everyone on here for help and advice along the way. I am currently struggling for practise places and advice near home, i have been travelling all the way down to the north west just to ride and practise and would welcome any advice.

Hello Trials Central. I'm just getting started in trials. Im in fact so new that I don't even have a bike yet . I woke up about a week ago and was suddenly obsessed with the thought of getting into the sport. I've been riding dirt for 35 years and am currently riding a ktm xcw300. I've got a couple offers out on trials bikes. A 2004 txt pro 125, and a 2012 beta 280 Evo, waiting very impatiently to see what happens. I'm sure I'll have a ton of dumb questions. I've watched all of Ryan Youngs instructional videos and a few others and am looking forward to being humbled.

Hi everyone, I'm new to trialing and just found this forum, looks like it should be useful. I had a CR 125 for a while but had been dabbling with a mates Sherco and decided I wanted one. Turns out a friend of a friend had a Beta and wanted an MX bike, long story short, I now have a Beta 250 which is 2 years newer than the Honda for a straight swap. I'm one happy bunny.

Hi All, I'm new to trials. I'm coming from trail riding and dual sport. I have had (over the past 30+ years) an old honda 360 scrambler, a suzuki GS550L, a honda XL650R, a honda Hurricane 600, a Hurricane 1000, a VFR700 and currently I have an '89 honda transalp that has been everywhere from highway to logging trails. It is a most excellent all-around bike. Also have a TTR-250 for playing in smaller trails, an NX250 (little brother to TA), a honda fourtrax quad and my "new" 2001 Beta Rev3. I'm 50 years old and am fascinated by trials. I bought my Beta and started by standing on the pegs (engine off) and balancing in place. I've done 30 minutes at a time. Next I've been w…

Hi, I am getting back into trials after a long time away, looking forward to it. Not bought a bike yet but thinking about the New Montesa 260 4RT looks nice although a little heavier than other bikes, anyone got one yet? I live in Castleford can anyone recommend a decent place to practice, I know there is Bumpy which I will probably join, and I now there is a good place over at Scarborough if you join the Scarborough club, but is there any where else? Where is best place to buy a Montesa from New? is it possible to test drive or to they have any demo days coming up? look forward to your replys Cheers Mark
