How do all? I'm Connor and based up in the Highlands, Scotland (just outside of Inverness) Just got bought another trials bike after been off one for a fair few years. Picked up a Scorpa SY250 2004 to mess about with now I'm fed up of messing with cars, just sold my Westfield fully caged road/track car with a ninja engine. So bought a Porsche and a trials bike. I'm lucky to have a huge forest on my doorstep with a nice tricky burn running through it. Only been out on the bike a couple of times in the passed week as been working on trail

hi all before its to late I thought I have a bash at trials again , I intended to enter the twin shocks but feel it would be best to enter the veterans on a more modern bike so I found a good 300rr so just need to get a bit of practice and get a bit fitter . Something I noticed quite quickly was there is nothing to grab hold of to lift the rear when you are off half way up a slippery slope etc anyone have better idea then my leather stap over the seat area?

Hi all, Ive just stumbled upon your site. I am looking at giving trials a go, I live in Glossop Derbyshire and I currently do quite a bit of green laning. I have a budget of approximately £1500 to purchase a bike to start on, whilst I have been riding over 25 years I have only ridden a trials bike on a couple of occasions. Any advice appreciated, I'm looking for a club etc in my area, if anyone has a bike for starting off on around my budget give me a shout also. Thanks in advance Jay Shep

Hello all, I got into dirt bike riding a short while ago and then got interested in trials riding. I was watching some of the pro trials riders clips on Youtube, and also found that many of the pro Enduro riders also had trials backgrounds. When it came time that I started practicing trials techniques on my regular bike, I decided to start looking around for a real trials bike. Today I adopted a 2002 Gas Gas 280 TXT Pro for a reasonable price, the previous owner wasn't riding it as much anymore so hopefully I can give it more run time it deserves. I look forward to using the forums here as a new resource ?.

I bit the bullet and purchased a new Montesa Repsol a few weeks ago, not been out on it yet due to the lock down but can't wait to get out there, I have been riding a Beta 250 Rev 3 2004 model for about 4 years, great bike but but fancied a 4 stroke ( Montesa), heard a lot of talk about reducing the front sprocket by one tooth, changing the exhaust system to make the engine breath better, not sure what that means or if the high price tag warrants my fairly low skills, also the air filter, on my Beta I used Putoline air filter cleaner and oil, can I use this on the Montesa. Also the dealer has inserted a note in the owners manual, first service due in one month or 600 mi…

Hello All. First of all thank you to everyone who posts here. I have found it to be a great source of information. I recently purchased a 2004 Sherco 290. I have ridden several dirtbike over the past 10 years and I think trials is going to be right up my alley. I have some acreage to ride on that is pretty challenging on my motocross bike so I should be able to spend countless hours riding the trials in my own back yard. Challenges include (a pretty steep hill climb from the creek, banks berms, fallen trees, pond banks, creek bed, rocks, mud, grass, little bit of everything). The only thing I lack is large rocks. Which is ok I probably won't be ready for that kind…

Hi there, I have just recently bought a Triumph Tiger cub trials and when I got to the seller's place, he had a Dalesman 125 sitting in the corner. Really liked it so I brought it home. He said that it had been sitting a while. Changed the fuel and plug but can't get her to go. There is a bit of a spark. Any one got any ideas. How do you get the flywheel off. Scary!

I'm trying to re-build an Aprilia Climber 240cc from a load of bits I bought off ebay. Why? I hear you cry! In truth I'm not really sure, it started off as a project when I bought the frame. Me and my son were going to make it into something together. Then I got hold of the original engine, and now I'm kinda hooked on trying to get it back to an original state. Fact is, I'm several bits missing, and spares for this beast are expensive. For one, the coil is missing. A new one is

New to trials, really having fun with my 07 Sherco 2.5. I have a few ramps and wooden skids set up to ride over and doing ok. Been upside down a few times going over the 4 footsections. Being new to this sport I am having some wrsit and shoulder pain due in part to my age 50+but was wondering if I am doing something wrong to have this pain or is it kind of normal due to the up right riding position? Thnx Tom

Hello all, just bought my first trials bike although I'm far too old to be playing games. It's a Yamaha TY250 mono. All my off road riding has been on 4 strokes and as I don't bounce so well these days I've changed to trials although I should know better. My knowlege of two strokes is limited so I fully expect to become a real pain in the **** to you all. regards, Mike. I also have a noise from the engine but I will try and post it in the correct place.

Hi had road bikes for many years but never a trial bike, went and brought Bultaco sherpa on 24th December in need of some tlc. With a week of work ime now completing "light restoration". Tank has now been repainted and new decals to go on it, exhaust has been stripped and painted in stove enamel, overhauled front brake (luckily chrome is very good), tomorrow painting foot pegs, fasteners etc. I've stripped and cleaned the carb so should be together Thursday so then it's change the oils and get it running - fingers crossed ! Ime going to have a go at some trials on it and go from there. My present road bikes are Ducati 749, Laverda Jota, Suzuki GT 250, Honda CBF125 and Puc…

Hi all, My 5 year old son was lucky enough to get an Oset trials bike for Christmas and we would like to find out where to begin in the world of trials. Any help or info on local clubs or practice areas would be great to help us get started.

Hi all, new to this site, having a) just retired and just bought a 1961 BSA C15 trial project. a few bits are missing, and I'm trying to get my head around what's already been done and the variants of not only stock bikes but also the trials mods . Having ridden since the age of 14, when I used to ride across fields on a NSU moped, I'm hoping to have a go at pre 65 trials (that's if I can get the bike running before I'm 65 lol). Last bike ZZR1400R so now taking life at a gentler pace.
