  2. Hello, There are plenty of clubs to join , Seaton Deleval ,Bedlington , not sure if Newcastle have one i know they have Trials on at some points throughout the year someone else may have and idea. But alot of the Trials in this area are run (very well) by Consett District Motor Club so my choice would be for you to join them. Most of the trials that my son does are all over that area and i live in Cramlington. Castleside have a Trial this weekend soo may be worth a look down if your avalible , it is all the same faces week in week out, soo you could maybe have a chat with a few people there. As for places to practise well thats the problem everyone has , unfortunatly there isnt many LEGAL places , there is Warden Law which i think is near Sunderland and its about

  4. Hi, Thanks for the reply , is it ok for my son ( He is Youth B , Riding a GasGas 125cc ) to compete in the TY80 course ??? We have just got him into trials and he entered the Trial at Brockley hall last bank holiday , and to be honest it was far to hard for a first trial !!! at the event people mentioned about starting him off on the TY80 course , but i just wanted to confirm this was right ??? Sorry for all the questions but im just new too all this and want to make sure i get it right and also give my son the best possible start in the sport . Thanks Chris
  5. Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knew what courses there are going to be at the Consett Club Trial on Saturday at Oxen Law Valley farm . I have heard there is going to be a TY80 course , but just wanted to make sure before i made the journey. Cheers Chris

  8. Hi, I phoned Harry Norman myself about this earlier today, and he said that it must of be advertised wrong . The trial is on the bank holiday which is the following monday 31st . Hope this clears it up and saves you missing a day at work
  9. Thanks for your comment Neo (and Sarcasim) This is a real problem and yes i have tried changing spark plug and even got a magnifing glass out to check for a spark !! (that help!) and still no spark (even with changing plug) that was on old plate !! like i have said im not risking it after spending alot on yet another plate ??? I have the reciept for new plate but your missing my point on the readings etc ??? should i be getting solid reading on the meter etc and yes i have tried a few meters as already said in my post ??? Thanks
  10. Hello iam wondering if anyone is able to help me with regards to a ongoing problem with my 2004 125cc Sherco. Not long ago i had a problem with the bike not getting a spark , upon finding this forum i was given a list of figure in which to test the Stator plate ................... to this end i realsised the plate was faulty.Upon finding this i went and bought a re-furbished one and the bike ran for a maximum of 3hours !!!!! On testing the Stator plate readings again i found the first 3 readings .. i,e (red cable to lead , black to earth) all flickered slightly then came up as a Error reading on my meter ???? This is where my new problem lies ........... i have just bought a brand new one !!! (Not a refuburbished one) however before messing about fitting the new plate i first tested it using my meter and yet again the reading for the first test (which i belive to be the main problem with these stators) It flickered with a reading then straight to ERROR !!!!!! Just for your info all the other readings came within the recommended figures and i have tried it using too different meters to make sure . Is this just bad luck and it is a faulty plate or something im not getting right with the readings . i,e does it flicker and come up with error or should it stay a soild figure like all the other ones ??? Your help is welcome i feel like iam banging my head off a brick wall with this at the minute !!! Thanks Chris
  11. Ham not wussy mate , im the same =] I have managed to get old one out today now just got to wait for the new one to arrive then the fun will start , it looks like its going to be harder to put new wiring in than taking old one out !!!! There is no space to play with really even with radiator out of the mounts.... Thanks
  12. Tony , Cheers for reply i will give that a try tomorrow. I take it you remove top bolt then lift the radiator out from the bottom of its mounts? Thanks Chris
  13. Hello, Does anyone know if you have to remove the radiator on a Sherco 125cc to enable me to get the wiring down from the CDI unit to replace the Stator plate ??? Ive tried everything but this seems my only option ??? Any help would be grateful Cheers Chris
  14. thats a good point but surely its right in working backwards through the problem i.e from the plug etc the lead to the CDI ??? Or is your way from experiance ? just curious ??
