  1. Stolen Beta 270 Rev3 2001 Model, Stolen on Tuesday evening from Scarborough, around 11.00pm. Bike description is as follows. Blue, with very distinctive Graphics to tank and Rear Mudguard. Has COL on rear mudguard, tank has lacquer over graphics Brand new top end, 250 actually, NOT 270, just had major head rebuild. Exhaust has a brass coloured bracket in the centre for support, not the usual fastening, as broke off. Air filter panel to left of bike has white reflective vynil to stop marks with boots. Front tyre has a few cracks in ( needs a new one) Rear tyre is turned round, for a few more miles. If anyone has this bike offered to you, could you please call 07776 232 195 or e-mail olympicminicoaches@yahoo.com
  2. Cheers Stork, I think it is the Regulator, gonna bob down in the morning to get one, might change the Thermostat as well, i did put it in boiling water, the meter was all over the place when the temp reached boiling... so it could be either or both, so rather than cook it, it would be cheaper to replace both... Thanks for the advice Col
  3. Hi All, New to this... But took my Beta Rev3 out today for the first time. The Fan did not come on, tested the Fan, all well, running fine from a 12v Battery, Checked the Thermostat switch at top of Radiator with a Multimeter, when hot i could not get a ZERO Reading on the meter, to say there is a constant feed through. So followed wiring into headstock, Now i may be a bit thick here or just catious, but i can't get a reading from the Temp Control Unit, Small black box located near the ECU, Ran the bike for a few seconds, placed th multimeter on the unit and zero reading.... Any ideas please, also does the stat put out 12 or 6 volts ?.. Does this unit convert it to 12 volts from 6 ?
  4. Hi To All, Bought myself a Beta Rev3, a while back and have been slowly rebuilding back to a decent standard, got a problem though, sent the Barrel and Piston off to JETBORE in April, not received it back, just a whole load of excuses, Lost in Post, i have been off with a bad back, try phoning them and e-mailing them, no answer, suprise suprise.....Now bought a full top end off this great website, from a top bloke, George in Ayshire... So hopefully will be out on it next week, Can't wait, was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with JETBORE... If you have'nt beware, don't send them your hard earned cash, you may be let down badly. On a brighter note, the Beta is starting to look well, all important pieces, bearings, Plastics and the engine is looking good, now it's just a case of making a Pratt of myself !!!!!
