I have a sherco 290 2004 model. the revs linger on that. how do i do the check to see if the crank seals have gone? thanks

after watching some videos on youtube it seems this might be normal ?

Hi, Just bought a sherco 290. when you rev it up abit it seems to take a while for the revs to go down. Any ideas why this is ? Thanks
