  1. Hi Sting32, Thank you very much for the valuable info in your reply. My bike was bought brand new in September this year and I only managed to put about 25hrs on it so far. I am sure the clutch has not worn out or anything like that but thanks for the links to the clutch repair section as I shall be using them once I realise the clutch needs some maintenance or repair. You described the clutch position/adjustment very well thank you. I shall make sure the adjustments are correct and get rid of the slight clutch drag I am experiencing when pulling the lever onto my fingers. Seems easy enough to do the adjustment. BTW my levers are not bent at all. I have not been pushing myself to the extend where I have dropped the bike. So all is good in that regard. When I bought the bike new the dealer I bought it from put the GRO oil in as mentioned in my previous reply. He said I must stick to what the manufacturer specifies to use and this way I will not damage anything. Well it made sense at the time and must admit that my clutch is working flawlessly with no bad tendencies like jerkiness or slipping. It is super smooth and the feel is just right. On my next oil change, which is due in 5hrs time according to the maintenance schedule of the owner
  2. I am using the recommended oil by GASGAS : GRO Gear Trans 10W30 SAE 75W oil. I dont have any problems with the clutch as such just wanted to know the correct way of setting up the clutch on the Pro model. I have my levers set as far in as possible.

    Wet/Dry switch

Thanks everybody for the replies. Glad to hear I am not the only one finding it hard to notice a difference.
  4. Hi Jon, Excellent advise given there. I shall make sure I treat my connectors to prevent something like this happening again. Thanks Marius

    Wet/Dry switch

Hi, Just want to know how much of a difference should the mapping or wet/dry switch make on a GASGAS TXT300 Pro? I am a novice and are just learning the basics at the moment but I was playing with the two settings on my bike and I must be honest, I can
  6. OK I went for a ride this weekend and the fan worked flawlessly. Switching on and off as the radiator temperature raised and cooled off again. I was really baffled by this. This was definitely not the case a week ago. So the only explanation I have for this could be because I was taking connectors off and plugging them back again when I was measuring voltages etc. that I possibly corrected a bad contact in the process. I shall keep on monitoring the fan to make sure everything is OK.
  7. Hi Jon, Thank you for the info. I actually have that diagram. It is listed as the 2005 model but I don
  8. Hi Guys, I would like to know if anyone knows where I can get the wiring diagram for the new 2010 model TXT300? I have the wiring diagram from the 2005 model but there is a significant difference in the wiring in the section of the thermostatic switch and the regulator section. Reason for me asking for the diagram is that my cooling fan constantly runs after the bike has reached operational temperature. The fan does not come on immediately only when the coolant has reached the point where the fan should kick in but then the fan never stops again. I have checked the obvious like water pump working, enough coolant in the radiator etc. My theory now is that the regulator might possibly not supply the full 12V to the fan and therefore runs slower which is why the fan needs to run constantly to try and cool things down. Strange thing is that when I stop the motor to take a breather and then start the motor again which is after 2minutes or so the fan does not run immediately but takes some time after I am riding again to switch on again. I am a bit confused by this. The bike was bought brand new and I remember that in the beginning the fan switched on and off intermittently like it should do. So something has gone wrong and I am trying to figure it out. So if anyone knows where I can get the wiring diagram for the new TXT300 then it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Marius
  9. Thanks for the input. At least now I know it wasn
  10. Hi Everybody, I would just like to find out your opinion on the following: I bought a brand new 2010 TXT 300 Pro about a month ago and was checking the compression and rebound adjusters on the front forks last night. I have noticed that they are both turned right down to the softest settings on both the compression and rebound. Is this the standard factory setting? Are they supposed to be both set to the softest setting? Or has someone at the dealer where I bought it may be set it that way? I know I am suppose to set it up for my own weight and riding style but was just wondering why they are both set to the softest settings. Please can someone advise?

Thanks guys for all the input and advice. It makes more sense now and I shall be able to adjust the chain properly from now on.
