  1. Hi, My name is anthony, I stumbled across this site after researching Bantam Trials bikes on google. I have a bantam trials bike project and thought I would say hi to likeminded people! I have had the Bantam for about 20 years, it was my first bike and was very much a "bitsa" when it was first built by my dad and me! It has sat in my shed for a good 10 years so I thought it would be fun to drag it out and rebuild it properly! It currently has a few non original parts fitted, Suzuki TS 100 front forks, Fantic 125 front wheel, Home made Tank, seat, alloy side panels and airfilter! It was fantastic fun to build and gave me a good introduction to trials and was alot of fun to ride! I was surprised to read on here that people think they are under powered, mine is fitted with a standard D7 3 speed engine and has plenty of power to pull my 6` 2`` slightly overweight mass around! This may be partly due to the gearing as it has an 11 tooth engine sprocket and a 66 tooth rear sprocked fitted after reading an article in a very old Classic Bike magazine about the works bantams and aparently this was the setup they used. It certainly pulls really well and is alot more rideable, less bulky and lighter than the 240 Fantic I also have owned, just goes to show what I good bike they can be! Anyway enough of my ramblings! Anthony.
