    Beta Fan

Thanks for that, it helps, as I wasn't sure it it was a 5v, 6v, or 12v system. I'll pull it all apart today & try & figure out the rubbing. In the hope it will help someone else....I found the problem. The wiring connector had moved / fallen down and was pressing on the fan shroud which caused it to rub to fan blade in testing I also noted that 2001 beta fan takes a long time to com on, and then only breifly. Might be different on a really hot day :-)

Just bought an 01 beta 200, nice bike, but the fan seems to be hitting the shroud, and hence is not spinning when I run the motor hot.. Not sure if it was damaged / moved in transit, or if it has been like this for a while. I'll pull it all apart tommorrow & check it out., but just wondering if there is a dismantalling procedure on the web somewhere? Also can anyone can suggest tests for fan, thermo switch etc. are they 12v devices or 5v? Is there a common cause of the fan hitting the shroud? TIA for any info.
