Hi, just nearing the point of completion of my project and I want to do the bike justice so looking for advice on the mudguards. It's a 1975 bike and Ulf karlson replica, should they be plastic or do I spend the cash and go alloy..... Dose anyone know what they were fitted with new? It has the white plastic montesa ones on now but they are replacements. Cheers in advance Steve

Hi all, Help required! Just bought the montesa 247, had it dated to sept 1975 an ulf Karlson replica with matching numbers. The bike runs well and just needs tlc, at the moment it has a exhaust that is one piece from header including a middle box coming out just after the seat unit, is that right or am I missing the end silencer there appears to be mounting brackets for one. I have noticed from reading the forum that my front wheel is also the wrong way round! Is there a reason why this was done? I'm intending to get it painted and powder coated, what colour should the frame be at present it's black, but have noticed that some are silver. And does anyone know the correct red for the tank unit? Cheers steve

Hi all, yamaha ty 80 451-106347 I have just aquired a ty80, and she needs quite a lot of tlc. where is the best place to get replacement parts? i need the usual stuff kick start shaft plastics etc? I would also like to try and find out what year the bike is, the engine and frame numbers match and is 451-106347. Thanks in advance steve
