I wonder if you can help with buying another air filter for my 250 Evo 4t which appears to be a common filter on the current betas.
Which make is considered best Jitsie ( I think spelling is correct) or an original Twin Air ?? or maybe another ! . Presumably the spark arrestor needs to remain in place ??.
Trust me to buy a bike with this air leaking problem. I have read the responses to the problem with interest and am trying to decide whether to install the tyre slime or fit a tube ??. I really want this to be a permanent fix as taking the tyre off is always a pain. Won't the tube pinch at low pressure ??
I have bought an Evo 2010 250 4T which is in excellent condition, the only thing I have noticed is that one of the four front mudguard mounting screws is not doing a lot as the plastic that it holds is broken. The mudguard is secure enough but should I replace it ? , as it appears only plastic I dont think it provides any fork bracing. My other simpler question is what engine oil to use and what change interval.
Funny how these things go around, I used to ride in local club trials about 10 years ago and due to my accumulation of son-in-laws have bought a bike and intend starting again. The bike is a 250 Evo 4t and hopefully I can enjoy it once again, but this time with a steady old 4 stroke , and a very keen son-in-law !!
