  1. Just got the new ball. I put the new ball in followed by the collar/rod and tried the clutch expecting something to change, the clutch was the same. so i took the clutch pump cover off and tried the clutch again, with the cover of everything would appear to work fine, with the clutch being soft (as expected), and the piston pumping and returning correctly. I noticed that the collar rod doesn't want to sit flush when i have the new ball in. any ideas??
  2. Thanks everyone for the advice, i looked for the ball bearing and checked the oil drain hoping it was on their. turns out Ive been a fool and lost it. I'll order one and let you know if it fixes the problem, which i'm assuming/hoping it will. thanks again
  3. hi i have recently had the clutch on my 2008 beta 125 out, so i could sort the water pump. when i tried the clutch after putting the clutch back together their was no resistance in the lever, then as i pumped it, it built pressure but the pressure would not release and the clutch lever was/is now pretty solid. i have took the clutch casing off and noticed when i try pull the lever their is no movement in the push rod. i assume when reassembling the clutch i have a made a mistake although i don't know were. any thoughts or advice will be much appreciated. Thanks Harry
  4. cheers everyone for your help. I had a look at the impellor and it will spin nearly all the way round but then stops. Also when i took the cover of a circlip washer (i think its called) was just floating about in there any ideas?? It also looked quite corroded in there is this ok?
  5. the pin i found on the oil drain magnet, i think is a roller bearing needle.
  6. Sorry dave i should have said. yes Its an 08 rev 3 125
  7. Hi people not properly rode my beta for about two years now. Got it out the shed abit before christmas but due to clutch problems been riding my dads montesa, After waiting weeks i got my clutch seal kit, but when i came to do the job noticed water in my oil and a pin on the magnet of the oil drain. i haven't tried to start the bike since noticing and last time i was on it i didnt hear anything sound dodgy. Im assuming i need some sort of expensive engine rebuild but should i do this and keep the bike, or not repair the bike sell it as needing engine rebuild and buy a new bike. As expected im keen on getting a new bike but what should i get as i can not afford breakdowns like this one. I like the 2010 125 evo's but what is people opinion on these bikes? Thanks Harry
  8. thanks Dan ive had a quick look and i think the seal by the lever needs replacing, seems to be leaking a small amount of oil.
  9. when the bikes cold the clutch will work fine, the lever will ingage when half way in, although as the bike warms up the lever needs to come closer and closer to the bar untill its on the bar and then drags, ( theres still abit of clutch). When i got the bike out a few weeks ago i put new hydrolic oil in and bled the bike untiil it was all new hydrolic oil and no air bubbles, at the same time i checked the pressure plate and everything seemed fine their.
  10. HI i have recently got my 08 beta 125 out from a years rest. Everythings fine apart from when the bike is hot i lose my clutch and it drags far to much. I have changed the oil and put in fully sythetic putoline oil. i have adjusted it on the lever as much as i can, and last night i took the clutch apart cleaned the plates and put it back together. But its exactly the same. Please help!! thanks Harry
