  1. Up to mine Information there is no alternative to the EM. Gas Gas is way to high priced and (for me) very difficult to drive and needs a lot more Energy compared to the EM. Yamaha was only a prototype, the Dragonfly seems to be stuck in the development. I ride currently a E pure race, but I will change to a E Pure Sport without clutch. (I never use the clutch!) I think the clutch is absolutely not needed unless you want to Jump 1,5 m straight. The other Argument is the electronic Clutchlever which can be operated as a regen rear break. This is fantastic and gives more control and lesser points for my ridings ability.
  2. I think the Theory is very interesting, but much more impressive is what you can do with the bikes which are currently for sale like the EM 5.7. I rode the EM for the first time in a competition and I rode far better than with my old 4 stroke bike, despite I haven't had any training with the EM before! Now I have sold the "old" EM 5.7 and I am waiting for the 2014 Model with Belt and Homologation Kit, and better electronic clutch. Sunny regards from Germany Jojo
  3. The electric clutch of my em 5.7 is for me very usefull as a Kind of emergency Switch, but i have so much Good response from the throttle that i don't use the electric clutch a Lot. Like nostroke Said, this isn't comparable with a real clutch, but i think for 98% of the riders it is ok.
  4. Hi nostroke, really a beautiful conversion!!! I think also the settings of the Controller etc. are very complicated. I had tested the prototype of the EM a Long Time ago. Now the Bike has nothing to do with that Bike of the past. Your battery Packs are quiet small. Do you have a BMS on in?
  5. Thank you! I have also a electric car (Renault Twizy) and I am selling Photovoltaic systems in Germany. I think this is very interesting technology. I think I will ride the next weekend perhaps I can make a small video or some Photos of the bike. For the top Speed I think 55 km/h is realistic, but I am rolling much slower because I am riding often with my son (Oset 24 V 16") and also it doesn't feel so high rewd. I don't have a speedo on it and I am not rolling on the street so difficult to measure... And for me it is not so important. What is reallly a pleasure: If you go up step hills, you don't have to gear down at the top of the hill, so that "saves a lot of feet" And the best the people in the wood are not angry anymore if you are riding there! Till next time! Jojo
  6. Hello, my name is Jojo and I am the owner of the first EM 5.7 in Germany. I am very happy with the bike, here the price what I had payed: about 5000 € net. For me its the ideal Trailsbike, no pollution, nearly no maintenance. And I can practice when and where I want. Drawback: No license or registration? (Sorry for my English)... it is not legal on the road. Performance is very well, before I rode a Scorpa TYFS 175, i think the EM has more power... But I use most of the time the setting which is with less power. (4 settings possible). After 2 hours of practice I can directly ride things better than with my TY! Kindest regards from Germany! jojo
