  1. hello, i have problem with noise silencer on my Beta evo 300 2012. Motorbike has about 40 hours... I try change the silencer packing 007370550000 and I hope that will be better. But i have another question.. Is some absorbent cotton wool in the front pipe?? I know, that the first half of this pipe is clear only pipe, but second section is absolutly atypical and here I think thats cotton wool too :(( but i hope thats not true and problem can be only in silencer... Thank you for answers!

  2. Have you had the bike from new? Does it have coolant? And is it hot out since we do not know your location. Need to check if the thermostat is bypassed. Always running is not so bad unless the water pump is bad!

    Hi, Yes, I have bike from new and it has enought coolant... I live in Czech republic, there is about 20 degrees Celsius now. This motorbike has a thermostat for small and big circle of coolant? I think the water pump is only mechanical thing and I hope there is can not be problem. My friend thinks that problem can be with sensor on radiator?

    I think I have problem with fan on my Evo 2012 300ccm. After heating motorcycle ( thats takes about 4 minutes from first start ) fan starts, but run all the time when bike run... There are no breaks... I think thats not normal, because my old bikes Ossa and Gas Gas have breaks between fan perion always, for example 1 minute without fan and 20 seconds run fan.

    Do you know, whats part will be broken? Thank you very much for your answers and Im sorry for my english.

    which oil do you use in transmission in EVO 300 2012? 10W-30 or 10W-40?

    And do you think, that premix ratio 1:75 is ok? Manual says 1,5%, thats 1:66, but I think, thats too much and exhaust will dead too early. Maybe for expert riders who ride often on full throttle.

  5. 140:1 is fine for trial for the Ossa, use a high quality synth 2T oil. After you warm it up make sure you "rev it out" to clean out any deposits etc from the warm up / choke period. Many riders forget to do this and slowly their exhaust will plug, motor does not breath as it should and you have problems. Hope this helps.

    Ok, I will use 140/1... True is that Ossa with petrol mix 100/1 has problem with choke after a while on little gas... Then I pull full throttle until the engine running smoothly... In fact, life time of spark plug NGK br5es was about 40 hours. Im curious, it will be better with petrol mix 140/1...

    Yes, it is definitely cheaper :-) This week I buy a new silencer for competitions and refilled silencer I will use on training, I hope :-)

    I have 120 hours ( hobby style, without full trottle etc- I am beginner, I have ridden for 10 months ) and original piston, do you think is possible to use petrol mix 110/1 for longer life time of new silencer ? Now its 100/1, Ipone samurai racing 100 synt. - strawberry.

  7. Hi, today I tryed repacking, but the ossa silencer is absolutely unfriendly to repacking with new material. :-((

    First one I cleaned the access pipe - after 120 Hours was totally full. Now there looks like as new part, shining without any carbon.

    But second action - repacking silencer is unsuccessful for this time... :(

    1) original material was in very good condition, almost without oil, carbon etc... And material is from factory very very tight!

    2) Problem is in holes on pipe in silencer... There are completely clogged, sticky of oil, carbon...

    3) I cut silencer on upper and right side. Still I think this is best place. But pipe is somewhere only 2mm!!!! from end of construction silencer! Pipe almost nowhere isnt in the middle of silencer...

    4) There are 3 sectors... First - pipe with holes, material is scourer or aluminium cotton - probably due to higt temperatuer of gas... Second - pipe WITHOUT HOLES with classical trial material and third - pipe with holes and material... There is very dificulty put out old material and then clean the pipe, because there isnt place for manipulation.. Pipe look like roller coaster... :-/

    5) Gas gas, sherco , Beta are definitely easier to refill than Ossa.

    6) It would be best way to clean holes in pipe without cut out, but Its not possilble... :-/

    Some photos will be on forum tomorow...

  8. Koby , take off the exhaust and cut in the area that you cannot see , on the other side. This will look a lot better when you put it together.

    Do you run your Ossa on 80/1 or 100/1 oil petrol ?

    Ok, thats looks like a good idea, I try take off on upper side :-) I run on 100/1 premix. First 100 clocks on Castrol TTS racing - I think this is problem... And now I run on Ipone samurai racing 100% syntetic...

    Do you prefer to close the exhaust by welding or by rivets? All friends prefer welding technology, but on this forum I see mostly join using rivets.

  9. Ok, I am going to try it :-) i will clean lead-in too of course...

    I have question, how I find out, how much of new material can be use? Thank you. I dont want new material pack too loose neither too tight...

  10. Hello, try someone fill exhaust silencer with new cotton? Is it possible? New silencer costs about 400,- Euro, there is too much... Why? On Sherco costed 205,- Euro... :-/ I have about 120 Hours and silencer ist completely dead, no power in the low round, only a lot of noise...

    Which shop has best price on Ossa original parts?
