  1. nice bike ! have you had to do any engine work? on the enduro bike GasGas ec200 im have to do the piston every couple of months, 80hours or so of hard use ha, i'll use the 270 for year or so, then upgrade to a 2010-11
  2. Thanks Sting for the help! much appreciated but after thinking about it there's i dont think the shaft is worn, becasue the water level didnt drop, therfor i have no leak right? i dont want to put engine ice in (20euro a bottle) to find out thats its leaking into the gear box haha
  3. Hi lads, i just done the water pump seal on my JTX 270, but i noticed after about half an hours riding the oil was white (fresh oil) i though i may need to get the shaft aswell after seeing this, but then today i had a look in the window and the oil was brand new looking, i then checked the water level and that was fine! could it be the contaminated oil that was still left in the engine after i done the seal just coming to the top while it was running?
  4. I've been told by that 5w30 car engine oil is the best, less drag on the clucth and what not.. although im only new to trials myself so dont take my word for it
  5. Thanks for the welcome Jon Here's a picture, not bad for 500euro aye?
  6. Well after a few years of riding motocross and enduro i Decided to get a trials bike to help improve my skills, i ended up buying a gasgas jtx270 for 400euro (yes, 400euro!!) it needed a few bits and pieces but nothing major! i done the wheel bearings, steering head bearings, fork seals, water pump, break pads, grps, leavers and then just general TLC and because im in the trade all in all it stands me less than 500euro hehe! .. bike runs and rides sweet! i've only put about 4 hours on it in the past week i've owned it but i have to say im hooked, many more years of riding trials in the future i see considering im only 19 still have the enduro bike (gasgas ec200) and an old skool 85 kx125 )
