  1. so basically im all good to purchase.ive run the frame number threw google there no forums with it mentioned so must be all clear.but if I purchase the bike I need to keep these numbers I have extremely safe wrote down so if someone pinches it I can tell the police that my bike as been stolen.but then someone could sell it online an new buyer never to know until they run across the law.an then sell an sell.an if I dnt have the numbers wrote dwn an it got knicked then the theif gets a bike for free.that's all legal to them.as I forgot to keep me numbers wrote dwn.
  2. so basically then if the bikes never been registerd on road how can I check to see if its stolen usin the frame numbers or are they there only for if I wanted to register it on road
  3. IT COULD BE THE FACT ITS NEVER BEEN ON THE ROAD.i thought tho that the manufacturer would register the vin when made seens im checking off road vin checks.sorry if I sound thick just a new phase im goin threw likin me trials bikes. as for first reply there is no v5 with the bike as off road.but I thought the vin of the frame would still be registerd as leaves production.for instance I buy a brand new off road trials bike gas gas bring it from the shop surely the maker of the vehicle registers the vin number so I cme back with a bike from shop 17 digit frame number an there only me wrote on me receipt the frame number of the brand new bike surely it would be registerd other wise people could bang any number on there stolen bikes to sell
  4. Hi there wonderd if anyone could help me. Today ive been to look at a bike a 99 gas gas txt 250. Before I purchase the bike I thought id check online to see if the bike had ever been stolen.as one dnt want to throw a lot of money away on someone elses bike. I gt the frame vin number off the bike put in online vic checks an it just keeps comin up invalid vin could anyone shed any light on y this could be the bike looks straight an original no signs of tamperin numbers ground anything.as the numbers on the frame an also on a black tag.its from a nice posh house.but I dt understand y in vin check it comes up invalid.
  5. Hi there new to the forum just on net looking for some help really. I recently purchased an old 98 gas gas tx 250 which after reading around an watching some videos. it seems to be pointing me to 5w 30 normal motor oil on a 90's model gas gas non synthetic. Could anyone point me in the right direction? whats best to buy an where from. By saying any 5w 30 motor oil does this mean like some normal car oil like Castrol gtx. I read about putoline light gear oil but im sure it says its synthetic but in the video it says dnt use synthetic. The bike currently I'm sure its called clutch drag where the bike is pulling slightly with clutch lever in.if it wasn't running an I pull clutch in bike is still in gear an doesn't free wheel the video recommends 5 30 to stop this. sorry if I sound thick but feel better to be safe than sorry. many thanks.
