  1. 5h with a 15Ah?? that's huge.

your kid weights how much then?

I'm thinking of buying a Kelly controller too then.

What do I need to buy extra for the configuration of the throttle and current?

btw: you seen the price of the OSET MX10 :wall:

    https://www.alfa8.bike/OSET-MX-10

    They are nuts!

My kid weights 15kg (33 lbs), just turned 3 years. We added bigger fuse, relay and wires. I think we buy this next year:

    http://www.kuberg.com/p-4-cross.aspx

There is also coming Kuberg Cross 14kw super edition, if that is under 3000 euros we will consider the purchase it. :)

  2. Tested battery today we drove 22 km in woods and grass with my boy. 1,5hours and we lost 40-45% of battery. Average speed was around 18kmh and top speed 35kmh. Our path were nowhere near flat, total ascent 326 meters and descent 366 meters. The on flat surface I think we can get 5 hours of juice and about 60km. Enough for our needs :)

  3. 15AH. 3-4 hours running time at least. KDS48100E Kelly fitted. I think revolt is good considering power/weight/price-ratio. Which pit bike chassis are you planning?

I thing I am going to order Kuberg cross next year. 1590 euros including shipping. But waiting for their 14kw version.. Boom! :D

  4. Oset 16 was just too tall and saved about 500 euros for converting Oset 12.5 Eco to 16 racing. I have Kelly Controller added to motor and it pulls 50A with 40volts lipo pack. So 2000 watts of power. The on off throttle is gone and I will tame it with throttle tamer so these two scenarios work at the same time:

    A) When slightly turning the throttle acceleration is very smooth

    B) When turning throttle fast it Accelerate like a beast.

My kid can do 20 meters wheelspin on sand with it. :D

  5. I measured the parts of Oset 16 and they will fit the bike. Instead of 10cm rise on seat height, this mod just adds 5cm. So my boy can start one year earlier to use 16 inch wheels, awesome. I tried with 5cm wood piece underneath swingarm and 10cm wood piece underneath the front wheel and it's just about right height to my son. He can firmly stand with one foot in the ground and can support the weight of the bike. I tried to get my son to 16.0 and it was WAY too high for him, neither of legs can't reach ground.

I think the main things to modify oset order to drive mx with this are: front fork with rebound, rear spring with rebound and bigger wheels. Those 12 inch wheels are just too tiny and they will pick every groove on track.

So whats planned first (motor comes later):

-16.0 racing front forks, wheel, brakes

-16,0 racing back wheel, back spring with rebound

    -7-10cm lengthen to swingarm

I think this will be awesome bike to use on enduro, trial and mx. I give the boy get used to the bike before I add more power. But power increase is coming too with more lipos added. :) Keep in mind this bike has allready twice to power of Oset 16.

  6. Revolt site says: With hall sensors: 335USD. So yeah hall sensors are there. Also they can waterproof the case for me but what kind a protection we are talking about?  IF there is weather seeling and I add strong metalplate underneath it, I think it would be good fit? I don't think its going to get any hits over it. Or do you talk about vibrations?

This controller is all we need (110A/200A) http://kellycontroller.com/kbs72181e110a24-72v-mini-brushless-dc-controller-p-1315.html

Other powerfull lightweight motor recommendations? Do you think we can fit that Oset 16 forks to Oset 12.5 easily? The rear swing is a little bit easier, we just extend it 2-3 inches and it's fine.

What if fitted these to swingarm like in PW50, would the rear suspension be much better: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Y-Zinger-PW50-PW-50-Rear-Shock-Springs-Suspension-A-Set-/251809442932

Actually I measured that If we just add custom mounting point to rear suspension I think we can fit the Oset 16 racing shock which comes with Rebound.  I think it  is all we need.

  7. Ghwy, I looked one older thread and guy there was saying you helped him to built 12.5 and 16 oset hybrid. How to achieve that, will 16 inch oset tires fit 12.5 frame? I think my boy is growing out of the bike in late this year but 16 is just too big.

Am I on right track with this part list:

-Oset 16 front fork, front disc, front brake level, front wheel and tire, back wheel and tire? Is there any possibility to add 16 racing front work to Oset 12.5 pre 2015 model or am I only dreaming? :D

  8. Not much info available on their Web site. I contacted them. The point is that my son is now only three years old and wanting to drive all kind of driving with his bike: mx, trial, Enduro, supermoto. On gravel, snow, grass, rocks.. Anything. I just want provide him what he wants. When he is older he can Focus on certain type of driving. Example here the youngest kids start motocross races at 7 years. Yeah that is the minimum age here you can race.

How do you think that rv120 regular or pro could fit with oset? I plan to power it with 60v (15ah). On controller side we can output 10 second bursts of 150 amps. I think this is everything we need. Later when we purchase Oset MX 10 we can add this motor and batteries to it and ultimate compete easily with 50cc-65cc motocross Bike if my boy wants focus there.

Is there Any small steering damper to fit Oset 12 order to run without huge vibrations 60kmh on Karting tracks? Or do you think we can go without. I think 55-60 is absolute maximum we ever want of this small bike. With rv120 even I can run it too :D

  9. Are you doin cross with the 12,5?

    any news on the MX10?

I maybe switched to early to 16", so stil la bit to big for my son.

I'm goin to buy the saddle now to get hem higher up.

    Greetz

Sorry I didn't notice your comment at firtst. Yeah we are doing cross with 12.5, also a little bit FMX, enduro, snowcross and supermoto too. :D In these videos my son is between 2.5 to little under 3 years old.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXcchslTVU8

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9Kq3wrVWXk

I think we are now going to upgrade the motor to RV-120 regular so we can output max 10kw. Something to beat his friend on karting track. His friend are driving with petrol powered 49cc 2kw minimotos. I looked at the kuberg but its seat height is 63cm compared to oset 12.5 39cm. I thing we drive 2 more years with this "overpowered" system. :D

  10. Or is there any possibility to modify this to fit to pre 2015 model: http://2machsmotorcycles.com/?product=jitsie-alloy-rear-sprocket-various-sizes-oset-12-5-16-0-20-lite-20-eco

    Stock one looks like this:

    http://www.osetbikes.co.za/shops/index.php/spare-parts/sprockets/90t-screw-on-rear-sprocket-for-12-5-pre-2015.html

Is there anything I can do to that rear shock. When adjusted shoft to my kid it is very dangerous in jumps. The rear shock bounces the rear wheel up in the air and front of the bike hits long before rear to ground. So the boy to fly easily over the handlebars in 2-3 meter jumps. The bike doesn't have any shock absorber just the rear spring? Is It better to adjust it very hard to eliminate this? I don't think that bike is front heavy. I can try to put the lipos under the rear fender if that helps...

  11. Omg.  I found overkill motor. I think we need 16 oset so the frame would not limit the speed. 12.5 is bit understable at speeds over 35kmh.i think its mainly because off the small wheels.

So what you think, this motor with brushless controller :

    http://www.revolt.org.il/rv-160models/rv-160pro-short-2/

I think we could overpower all 50cc motocross bikes with that. Lol. Actually i think we owerpower all 80ccs too. :D

  12. Standard 12.5 motor kv is 108 (2600 rpm / 24v? )

And I'm running it 36v, so its 3900 rpm (2600*1,5).

    Stock sprockets, Front: 13T, Rear: 90T = 6.92 ratio

If changing Front sprocket to 9T as racing 12.5 it should be then 10 ratio (90/10).

So with amplow@24v and 9T sprocket the speed would be the same than stock at 4152 rpm. ( 6000rpm/10/6,92)

So it would be pretty close what we are running now.
