Thanks very much for the paint codes.

Wow, I had no idea that stuff was originally blue. There isn't any color left on mine. The cross bar on the handlebars on mine is a bit purple.

    TR34 rebuild

John, On the fork lowers, I tried to leave them in a brushed look, but I could never get mine looking good enough due to the wear and tear my bike had. I ended up painting the lowers on mine. I wasn't trying to be all original though, as also noted by the black engine. Does anyone have original paint codes? My red is pretty much spot on, but I can't get the blue correct. The blue I used ended up being much darker. Also, if anyone has close up pics of the seat, I would love to see those. Even a clear description of it would help. Mine had nothing on it when I got it. At this point I just have a piece of closed cell foam on it, but it doesn't hold up well.

    TR34 rebuild

This is what mine looked like when I got it. It had been sitting a long time and was well used. Moulder, this pic shows the rear brake assembly.

    TR34 rebuild

I finished my TR34 about 4 months ago. I didn't do a 100% restoration as I planned to just ride it, which I have since then quite a bit. Here is a pic of mine almost put back together.
  6. Got this accomplished over the weekend. Tedious, but well worth the work. Thanks again for pointing me to the fix.
  7. Can anyone describe exactly where the vent lines from the crankcase on a Beta TR34 connected to from the factory? There is one line directly under the carb and one line on the side above the stator.
  8. Thank you for that link. I now have a weekend project.
  9. I have a Beta TR34 that has a sticky clutch on first use. After the bike has sat for a day, when I first start the bike, the clutch will not disengage. The bike will lurch forward when you first put it in gear with the clutch pulled in. After that first lurch, which almost always stalls the motor, I can start it again and all is well. The clutch acts fine other than that. Any ideas on what might cause this? When I physically inspected the clutch by pulling it apart, it looks ok.
