  1. Hello all i have been riding motorbikes since i was like 2, first ride was not pretty i was out cold for 2 days its a good story but it never put me off riding, i have been riding road bikes and motoX bikes for that time but i always liked the riding style of trials, IMO a bit more fun than riding a 450 around i had been thinking of buying a trials bike for like 3 years, you know that feeling when you want to do something but you procrastinate basically what i have been doing for the last 3 years until my older brother came to me with an offer,my 2008 Kawasaki Z750 for his 2005 txt 300 pro and 2015 crf450r, the trade was pretty far in my favor but my brother had recently broken his back and is no longer able to ride dirt bikes as the shock of getting thrown around like you do on dirt bikes could cripple him, so it was a win win for both of us he gets to keep riding and i get a pretty good deal, i was planing on selling my bike anyway already thinking of trading in the 450 for a newer 300 probably 2014+, so if there is anyone in the south island of New Zealand looking for a 2014 CRF450R hit me up
  2. Ok so it was the spark plug cap that was broken, replaced it and now the bike runs really well, surprisingly well considering it has been sitting for 10+ years. The funny thing is my dad took the bike to a "gasgas specialist" who also said that it was the stator, luckily he never went out and bought a new 1k stator when it only cost me $10 to fix.
  3. Ok update, i was testing the spark with the old and while trying to pull the spark plug lead back past the radiator i pulled the lead out of the plug, and my dad said we should check the spark from the lead, low and behold super strong spark so we test the plug with a multi-meter no current getting through, so the conclusion is its just the spark plug cap. i will buy a new one tomorrow and fingers crossed it will fix it, kinda funny to think that for 11 years its been sitting in our shed not working and this is all it might be.
  4. hey smoke so i checked the carby and it is immaculate, surprising because it hasn't been ridden in so long it would normally run for like 1-3 mins so i disconnected the kill switch and light cluster, it ran for 30 mins but was running rough and it stopped running again, checked and no spark.
  5. My old man has had his 1999 TXT 321 since it was new, about 12-13 years ago it stopped working and he never had time to fix it. I recently brought a 2005 TXT 300 pro and i want to get his bike working again so we can ride together. the problem with the bike is it will cold start and run for a few minutes before it dies and wont start again, we have no idea what is wrong with it, i have been unable to find any info online and was hoping making a post will get me some info on what the cause might be.
