Hi there Ian. So sorry I am new to this. You can machine and fit A 300 onwards Gear which is pressed out Machine old gear off & machine & Weld 300 onwards gear to to back of a worn out 240 basket I’ve done 50/60 over time. hope this give you hope and to all other 240 owners with rattling clutches.

I presume you have made a drift to tap out the steel bushes that go through cases where the engine bolt go through. its stepped to fit snug in the bore. Cases will come apart much easier with sleeves drifted out. watch Out of all the shims on the ends of shafts.
