  1. I have an update of my requests. I no longer need a 80cc engine. Today I managed to get the GT80 running with the kickstart and put that away to concentrate on the TY80. Up until then I was hunting the web looking for ways to save money but still have the TY as she should be. I then looked at the GT80 frame number and the engine and non matching. To me that's all I needed to say take that out and into the TY. The TY is a more valuable bike and deserving of the engine. The other DT50 engine will be having a 60cc barrel etc and go into the GT80 but be a GT60. Tonight I got hold of another TY80 barrel with the correct exhaust mount and so the expansion pipe and YZ80 barrel will be sold on. I also got a manifold and reed valve too so looking for a stock ty80 carb if anyone has one to part with. The other carb is huge 22mm . Things are looking more positive just the long waits from USA. Currently waiting on from USA Full TY80 exhaust, miscellaneous parts bin ( side casing, gear lever, clutch cover, footrest hangers, brake perch, chain guard, ignition coil x 2, oil tank, engine bolts, and numerous other nuts bolts and washers ),air box and lid, seat base, rear shocks ( Canada), barrel and reed valve. petrol tank. Currently waiting for stuff from Trail and trial been nearly a month now and no reply to my email. Expecting new front and rear mudguards, front tyre tube and rim tape. UK still waiting for kick start, oil pump cover, tank frame rubber, Parts I still need to purchase are seat pad, handlebars but not too wide or too high, side panel, oil tank cap, clutch perch and 2 levers, throttle and cables, rear tyre, handlebar grips, decals and engine kill switch.
  2. Hi guys I am new on here and doing a project for my grandson with some leftover parts from a GT80 project. I am looking for a TY80 engine and carb possibly. I have a DT50 engine but do really want to make it what it should be. My alternative which I am reluctant to do is nick the engine from the GT80 and put that in. That motor though has a bigger carb and a YZ80 barrel. I would really need another barrel to accept the correct threaded exhaust. I don't mind a project but prefer in UK or Europe. I have seen one in USA that needs help but £200 almost postage. Thanks Albie
  3. I just bought a complete exhaust inc heatshield. The post is killer but I got some valuable parts cheap with the exhaust so the postage paid for them.
