Thanks for all the info trialman. That’s was a brilliant reply. luckily I finally got it running. I ended up with a new electronic ignition and a new carb from mid Atlantic trials. it’s amazing. I put on the new ignition, carb and new plug in. Changed the oil and it started 2nd kick. After 32 years of standing in a garage. yeah I’ve had to put new pegs on too as one was missing so I went for some wider weld ones. I know exactly what you mean with the woodruff!! I’ve already ground one flat after not torquing the only one up enough! im on the hunt for a lighter clutch! Trying to find some Aprilia parts. im lucky to have a little land to practice on and I’m living it!

hi new to the forum and the twinshock scene. just though I’d introduce myself. my dads had this tucked away in a garage for the last 32years. After a couple of failed attempts to get it running in the mid 90s I though I’d have another go now technology is a bit better. and here the bike is “finished” it’s meant to be a little ratty and rough around the edges. I don’t fancy turning up at some local trials events with a shiney new looking bike and being rubbish haha. I went a little different on the tank
